The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board, also known as the BCECE Board, conducts a state-level entrance examination for admission to polytechnic courses in the various engineering colleges of Bihar. The exam for polytechnic admissions in Bihar is called DCECE (Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination) and it is held every year for shortlisting students. DCECE Counselling 2019

The counselling process of DCECE 2019 for Bihar polytechnic courses is explained here. The details of the entire DCECE 2019 counselling procedure are explained in the points given below.

  • Candidates are called for the DCECE counselling according to their marks and ranks that are given in the merit list.
  • The counselling process of DCECE is organised completely through online mode.
  • The applicants can fill their choices of colleges in which they seek admission according to their ranks.
  • Seats are allotted to all candidates on the basis of their ranks, choices filled by them, their category, and the availability of seats in colleges.
  • Once the candidates are called for the counselling process, they have to produce their documents for verification at the time of counselling itself.
  • The candidates must get their original documents for the counselling process along with attested xerox copies of them.
  • The applicants are also required to clear the medical test round in order to get admission.
  • Once a seat is allotted to a candidate, he/ she has to submit the seat acceptance fee and proceed for the admission process further.
  • The seat once allotted cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • Candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges with the fees and required documents for completing the admission formalities.

Documents Required for DCECE Counselling 2019

All candidates should bring documents that are given below. They have to produce the original documents and also bring a set of photocopies of all the documents:

  • Mark sheet, pass certificate and admit card of class 10th.
  • Mark sheet, pass certificate and admit card of class 12th.
  • Admit Card of Bihar Polytechnic.
  • Score-card of Bihar Polytechnic.
  • Domicile Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Character Certificate.
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Six passport-sized photographs (same as the one pasted in the admit card).

DCECE Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates who aspire to appear for the DCECE 2019 exam must check if they qualify the DCECE 2019 eligibility criteria. Only after qualifying the conditions will the applicant be permitted to give the exam. Any discrepancy between the application form and the original documents of the candidate will lead to the cancellation of his/ her application. Check the DCECE eligibility criteria 2019 before applying for the exam.

Nationality- The candidate must be an Indian and should belong to at least one of these categories: The parents of the candidate must either belong to the state of Bihar or must have been refugees in the state/ employees under the Bihar government/ part of the Rashtra Sangh and based in Bihar at the current time/ employee of the Indian Government.

Age Limit- No age limit is set for admission to polytechnic engineering courses. For admission to the four-year part-time polytechnic engineering, the candidate must be at least 19 years old as on 1st July 2019.

Educational Qualification-

  • For Polytechnic Engineering: The candidate must have secured a minimum of 35 per cent marks in class 10th class from a school that belongs to the Bihar School Examination Board or any board of similar recognition. Students appearing for the class 10th board exams are also eligible to apply for the course.
  • For part-time four-year Polytechnic Engineering Courses: The candidate must have cleared class 10th from a recognised board along with two years of ITI. If not, the applicant must have cleared 10th along with work experience of two years. The candidates will be required to produce valid certificates from the company or organisation that they have worked for.
