Kerala Polytechnic admission process is regulated by the Department of Technical Education, Kerala. No examination will be organized by DTE Kerala to offer admission in diploma courses. Following are the eligibility criteria for Kerala Polytechnic admission 2023 every candidate must meet in order to be admitted to the Polytechnic/Diploma Courses in Kerala.

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India

  • The candidate must be a Kerala resident or have completed the qualifying examination at a Kerala-based institution

  • The candidate must have completed the SSC, THSLC, or an equivalent test

  • Candidates must have received passing grades in math, English, and science

  • The marks/grades acquired in Science are used to calculate grades in place of Physics and Chemistry for CBSE/ICSE/Open school applicants

  • Candidates for the courses must have completed a qualifying examination with Mathematics as a subject from a reputed CBSE school

  • Senior Secondary Level Certificate SSLC

  • Compulsory subjects in SSC are Mathematics, Science, and English

The State Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (SITTTR) allocates merit-based seats. Merit-based seats are available in both Government-Aided Polytechnic Colleges and Private Self-Financed Polytechnic Colleges.

Management Seats:

These seats are filled by the concerned management. 15% intake of each branch is reserved under this category. The seats are allotted on the basis of the eligibility criteria. The list of candidates who are allotted these seats must be approved by the Regional Joint Director or the Deputy Director of the respective region.

Management Seats in Self-Financing Programmes:

These seats are filled by the concerned management in the Self-Financing programmes which are offered in both Self-Financing Colleges and select aided polytechnic colleges. Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria are only allotted seats.
