OJEE 2025 reservation criteria are provided to offer students belonging to backward classes equal opportunities for admission. According to the OJEE reservation criteria, 8% of the total seats are reserved for SC, 12% are reserved for ST, and 30% are reserved for women students. At the time of the OJEE 2025 registration, it is required for all students to specify their categories. The reservation criteria for OJEE 2025 exam is released along with the official exam notification. Additionally, Only applicants who are natives of Odisha are eligible to apply for admission through the OJEE 2025 exam.

OJEE 2025 Categories
- SC/ST Category: Students belonging to SC and ST categories will be eligible for reservation under the respective categories, subject to the production of valid documents such as a caste certificate and an income certificate. If the seats reserved for SC/ST students remain vacant, they will be filled by students belonging to the other category.
- OBC Category: Students belonging to OBC category will be eligible for reservation under the OBC category, subject to the production of valid documents such as caste certificate and income certificate. The OBC category students will not be eligible for reservation under the SC/ST categories.
- PwD Category: Students with physical disabilities will be eligible for reservation under the PwD category, subject to the production of valid disability certificate issued by a recognized medical authority. The PwD category students will not be eligible for reservation under the SC/ST or OBC categories.
- Women Category: In some courses, a percentage of seats are reserved for women students. The percentage varies from course to course.
- Horizontal reservation: Horizontal reservation is provided to students belonging to ex-servicemen, sports quota, and the children of Green Card holders.

OJEE 2025 Reservation Criteria: Important Points to Remember
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2025 reservation criteria specify the percentage of seats reserved for different categories. However, certain specifications must be followed:
- Seats reserved for scheduled castes and tribes apply only to those who are SC/ST by birth, and not through adoption or marriage.
- If seats reserved for a particular category remain unfilled, they will be filled by students from the general category.
- Applicants applying under the SC or ST category must submit a category certificate issued by the Tahsildar of their birthplace in Odisha to meet the OJEE 2025 reservation criteria.
- SC/ST students who have migrated to Odisha from another state will not receive the benefit of the OJEE reservation criteria.
- Students who fall under the Green Cardholders category must provide their parents' original green card issued by the Family Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha.
- Applicants applying under the Physically Challenged (PC) or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category must have a disability of 40% or more, as provided under Section 39 of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995.
- Students under the PC/PwD category will have to attend a mandatory medical board to determine the medical standard of their disability. They will be provided with a Scribe or Reader for assistance during the exam.
- If the medical board determines that a student is not disabled, such students will be considered under the unreserved category.
- Applicants applying under the Ex-Servicemen (ES) category must be Odisha natives and apply at the Rajya Sainik Board. The Board will provide the final list of selected students under the ES quota.
- Students applying under the Women category must provide the Nativity Certificate of Odisha State.
- Students with a cumulative parents' annual income of less than 8 lakh per annum are eligible for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) quota.
- Applicants applying under the TFW quota must produce their parents' income certificate issued by the local Tahsildar during the OJEE Counselling process.
- The outlying Odia (OL) category is for Oriya language-speaking people residing in other states. The OJEE reservation criteria under the OL category is not applicable for private engineering colleges.
- Students from states other than Odisha are not eligible for B.Tech admission into government colleges, but may apply for private engineering colleges.
- Transfer of vacant seats will be done for all categories, except for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) category, due to its supernumerary nature.
