The Maharashtra State Council of Education has brought few changes in the exam pattern for MAHA TET 2019. As per the notification, aspirants who wish to teach classes 1-8 will need to appear for Paper-1 and Paper-2. Maha TET 2019 notification released.

The Teachers Eligibility Test or TET for the state of Maharashtra, commonly known as MAHA TET or MHTET, will be conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). Recently, the MSCE has announced a few changes in the exam pattern of MHTET.

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination released a notification stating the changes that have been made to the MAHA TET exam pattern 2019. There have been two different papers under MAHA TET 2019, wherein Paper-1 will be conducted for aspirants who wish to teach classes 1-5, meanwhile, Paper-2 will be conducted for those candidates who wish to teach classes 6-8. The changes brought in by the MSCE will now require aspirants who wish to be a teacher for classes 1-8 will to appear for both Paper-1 and Paper-2. This requirement was not mentioned earlier but now it will be important for the candidates.

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has started with the registration process for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) 2019. Interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by November 28, 2019.

MAHA TET 2019 Important Dates

The candidates who wish to attempt the MAHA TET 2019 examination for the posts of teacher in classes 1-8, in the different schools of Maharashtra, must make a note of the MAHA TET 2019 Important Dates. MTET 2019 important dates are as follows:

MAHA TET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

MAHA TET 2019 eligibility criteria for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are as follows:

MAHA TET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

  • The minimum qualification required for the Primary Teachers is Intermediate (Class 12) with 50% marks and 45% for reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education with at least 45 – 50% of marks.
  • Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ Bachelor of Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for MAHA TET 2019.
  • Candidates with B.Ed degree can also apply for MAHA TET 2019 Paper 1.

MAHA TET Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

  • The minimum qualification required for Upper Primary Teachers in Maharashtra is a bachelor’s degree (B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.Tech/ BBA etc.,) with at least 45% to 50% of qualifying marks.
  • The candidates must have passed (D.EI.Ed)/(B.Ed) to be eligible for the post of Upper Primary Teacher.
  • Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ B.Ed are also eligible to appear for MAHA TET 2019.

MAHA TET 2019 Exam Pattern (Revised)

This year a new change has been brought in by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination in terms of the number of papers that aspirants will need to appear for different categories. With the new changes, the examinations will be conducted for three different levels, viz.;

  • Paper-1 for Teacher Posts in Classes 1-5

  • Paper-2 for Teacher Posts in Classes 6-8

  • Paper-1 and Paper-2 for Teacher Posts in Classes 1-8

MAHA TET Exam Pattern - Paper-1

The candidates who wish to teach the students in classes 1-5, will need to appear for MAHA TET Paper-1. This paper will also be required for those aspirants who wish to teach classes 1-8. Here is the detailed MAHA TET Exam Pattern for Paper-1.

The MAHA TET Paper-1 exam pattern includes questions which will be asked in the MCQ format, each question carrying 1 mark. MAHA TET 2019 Paper-1 will be conducted for total 150 marks, divided equally between 5 topics, i.e. 30 questions each in every topic. The candidates will be given 1½ hours to attempt all the questions. Candidates will not be punished with negative marking for any wrong answers.

MAHA TET Exam Pattern - Paper-2

The MAHA TET Paper-2 is applicable for aspirants who wish to teach classes 6-8 as well as to those who wish to teach classes 1-8. The examination, like Paper-1, will be conducted for the posts of teachers available in the schools of Maharashtra. Those interested in appearing for the paper can check out the details of the MAHA TET Exam Pattern for Paper-2.

All candidates who are interested in sitting for the examination must note that they will be given 1 and a half hours to attempt all the questions. The question paper will carry 150 marks, one mark each for every question. The marks have been divided among 4 topics, as mentioned below. Candidates must also note that there is no negative marking for wrong answers.

MAHA TET Application Form 2019 - Know How to Apply Online

In order to appear in the Maharashtra TET examination, the aspirants will need to apply online mode. Here are the steps you must follow in order to appear for the MAHA TET 2019.

  • Visit the Official Website of MAHA TET- https://mahatet.in

  • Click on Notification Tab on the Page

  • Search for a link that says MAHA TET Application Form

  • Read the instructions mentioned on the page

  • Click on Apply Online

  • Fill in the details carefully on the page you are directed to

  • Upload all the documents such as passport size photograph, signature, required certificates, etc.

  • Pay the application fee

  • Submit the MAHA TET Application form.

Note:

Candidates are advised to take a printout of the completed application form with all their details filled in. The application form may come in use for further recruitment processes.

MTET 2019 Admit Card

MSCE will release the MTET 2019 admit card on 4th January 2020. To download MAHA TET hall ticket candidates will be required to enter their registration number and password. Candidates are advised to cross-check all the information on the MTET admit card. It is always advised to carry your ID proofs issued by the Indian Govt. such be Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID, job ID, etc. during the MAHA TET exam.

MAHA TET 2019 Result

Once the MAHA TET 2019 exam is conducted, the MAHA 2019 result will be released on the official website within the 40 days after the conclusion of the exam. To check MAHA TET result candidates will require their registration number and password. Candidates will have to secure at least 60% and above in Paper 1 and Paper 2. MSCE will issue the TET Eligibility certificate to candidates qualifying for the exam.
