Gauhati University B.Ed Admission 2020 - Every year, Guwahati University conducts Gauhati University B.Ed Entrance Test (GUBEDCET) in order to shortlist the candidates for admission to UG program. For the academic session 2020-21, GUBEDCET 2020 will be conducted on November 29, 2020. The candidates who wish to take admission to the B. GUBEDCET Admit Card 2020

The candidates will have to follow the given below steps to fill GUBEDCET 2020 application form:

Fill the form using all the important details such as personal details, qualification details, etc. Make sure to enter all the details as per the documents as they will be verified at the time of admission.
Upload the scanned signature and photograph in the required format.

GUBEDCET Application Fees 2020
The candidates who are filling the application form will have to pay a certain application fee to complete the application process. The application fee can be paid in online mode using either Debit/ credit/ net banking methods. The application fee + entrance exam fee for GUBEDCET 2020 for all the candidates will be INR 1000 plus additional banking chargers.
GUBEDCET Eligibility 2020
Guwahati University prescribes some stringent rules when it comes to eligibility of the candidates for the entrance test. Only the candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be allowed to sit for the exam. The candidates must carefully read the complete eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
The eligibility criteria for GUBEDCET 2020 is given in the points below:
The candidate must have passed a degree in graduation in the relevant stream ( B.A / B.Sc. / B.Com. or MA/ MSc/M.Com or equivalent) from a recognised institute.
The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for the reserved candidates) with all the subjects put together.
The candidates who are appearing for the final year examination can also apply for GUBEDCET 2020.
GUBEDCET Reservation Policy 2020
Guwahati University prescribes some reservation policy for different category of the candidates. The general rules and guidelines of Guwahati University are applied for GUBEDCET entrance test. The reservation policy for different candidates is given in the table below:

Note: If a reserved candidate fails to attain the reserved seat or it remains vacant, then that seat will be filled by the candidates from the general category.
GUBEDCET Exam Pattern 2020
The candidates must be well aware of the GUBEDCET 2020 exam pattern which will help them understand the type of questions asked in the exam. This will also help the candidates formulate proper preparation strategy and score well in the exam.
GUBEDCET 2020 exam will be conducted in the offline mode (OMR sheet) which will of a total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The questions will be of objective type and there will be a total of 100 questions in the paper. The paper will consist of 4 sections: General English, General Knowledge, Mental Ability and Current India Education. The total marks of the paper will be 400 divided into different sections. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. There will be no marking for unanswered questions.

Section-wise Marking Scheme
GUBEDCET Result 2020
After GUBEDCET 2020 exam is conducted, the Guwahati University will release the merit list for all the candidates in the form of result. The merit list will consist of the names of all the candidates who have qualified the entrance test. The candidates who have their names in the list will be eligible for the further counselling process.
Tie Breaking Policy for GUBEDCET Result
In case of a tie between two or more candidates, the examination authority will consider the following tie-breaking policy to make the decision:
The candidate having a higher ratio of negative: positive marking will be considered.
In case of resolution by sections, the candidate having more score in Section A/B/C/D will be considered.
The candidate having the lowest number of unanswered questions in respective sections (A/B/C/D) will be considered.
In case the decision is not made on the above-mentioned resolutions, the examination authority will be responsible for making the final decision.
GUBEDCET Counselling Process 2020
The candidates who have their names in the merit list will be called for the counselling process. Through the counselling process, the candidates will be provided seats to respective colleges for admission to B. Ed program. The seat allotment to the candidates will be done on the basis of selection by the candidate, merit of the candidate, and the number of seats available.
