The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is a standardized entrance exam for admission to four Symbiosis law schools located in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur. It offers admission to programs such as BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BA LLB, and BBA LLB. Administered annually by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), SLAT is conducted online and consists of 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total score of 60 points, lasting 60 minutes. The shortlisting of candidates for Symbiosis Law School is based on their SLAT scores, and meeting specific requirements is necessary for SLAT 2024 admission consideration.

Symbiosis International University (SIU) has released the SLAT 2024 application form on its official website. The application deadline for SLAT 2024 is April 12, 2024, and the form can be accessed online. Note: The Symbiosis International University's official website states that all tests may be conducted completely online, solely offline, or a combination of both modalities at SIU's discretion, depending on any unforeseen circumstances. How to Fill the SLAT 2024 Application Form?

The SLAT application form is divided into two parts: part 1 is for the SLAT application procedure, and Part 2 is the admission form for SLS Pune, Hyderabad, Noida, and Nagpur's law programs. Following are the steps to follow through during the application process:

Step - 1: SLAT 2024 Registration

  • The registration window opens when you select the "Register Now" button on the SIU website.
  • Candidates must click "new registration" to launch a registration form, where they must provide the necessary information as listed below:
  • Registration details - The name, category, and date of birth of the candidate; and their contact information - Cell phone number and main email address
  • Details of Class 12: Choose your academic major from among Science, Commerce, the Arts, or other options.
  • Choose the program from SLAT, SITEEE, or SET General/ non-SLAT
  • Preferred test city: Choose three places where you would want to take the SLAT in 2024.
  • Each candidate must register for the SLAT exam in order to receive their unique SLAT ID, which is required.

Step - 2: Filling out the application form and documents uploading

  • The next step is for applicants to complete their SLAT application form with their personal, professional, educational, and complete contact details.
  • For the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) application process 2024, applicants must also upload their most recent scanned photograph, which must be no older than three months.
  • The scanned photograph that candidates are required to submit must be between the size of 10 KB to 500 KB and can be in any one of the following formats: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, or .gif formats.
  • Candidates are required to fill out the following information in their SLAT application form:
  1. Applicant’s name
  2. Date of birth
  3. Gender
  4. Category of the candidate
  5. Candidate’s registered mobile phone number
  6. Address for communication
  7. 10+2 details
  8. Programme preference
  9. SLAT Test city preference
  10. Uploading of the scanned passport-size photo (not more than 3 months old)

Step -3: Cross-check the filled-out application form

Verify the accuracy of the information you have provided. After the registration, under no circumstances are revisions allowed. During the application process, candidates are totally and solely responsible for providing accurate information. SIU reserves the right to refuse admission or to revoke an application at any time in line with its rules and regulations if it is discovered that any information provided by the applicant when filling out or submitting the application form is untrue. Hence, candidates must make sure they enter the data accurately. After the registration window closes, changes to the SLAT application form will not be permitted (except test centre preference and admission category).

Step -4: SLAT 2024 Application Fee Payment

Candidates must pay INR 1950 as the SLAT registration fee, regardless of their category. There is no reimbursement for the application fee; once the application fee is submitted, under no circumstance, it shall be refundable to any candidate. Candidates must also pay a fee of INR 1000 for each programme they desire to apply to. The SLAT 2024 application fee can be paid in one of the following ways mentioned below:

  • Billdesk Payment Gateway 
  • Easebuzz Payment Gateway
  • Indian Bank Payment Gateway 
  • Demand Draft

Candidates who choose to pay the application fee via online mode can choose any one of the above-mentioned payment gateway to pay the prescribed application fee through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Candidates must print and complete the challan form in order to make an offline payment for the SLAT exam. They must send a demand draft made out to the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" and payable in Pune from a nationalized bank (such as SBI or Canara Bank). Candidates must select the "DD Payment" option under the "Make Payment" tab. Print the payment advice form, fill it out with your credit card information, sign it, and mail it to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat at:

The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will verify the Demand Draft payment information and will email you to confirm the transaction. You won't be able to view your admit card till the payment is actually realized.

Step - 5: SLAT 2024 Application Form Submission

Candidates will receive an email confirmation with their application number after completing the aforementioned stages. In addition, applicants must register for admission to the Symbiosis International University law schools in which they wish to enroll. Candidates should retain a copy of the completed SLAT 2024 application form for any future reference.

Procedure of Programme Fee Payment for SLAT 2024

An applicant who wishes to submit his application for one of the available UG programs must also finish the payment process for that program before the deadline for that payment. The only way to pay for the programs is through the website (set-test.org). Complete Part II of the online registration form (Part II) for the program (s) registration and the relevant institute after paying for SET/ SLAT/ SITEEE (s). At this point, an applicant must submit a separate fee of INR 1000 which will be a non-refundable, non-transferable payment for each program and institute. If candidates choose to pay for their programs by demand draft, they must make a demand draft in the amount of INR 1000 in the name of the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" for each program.

Documents Required to Fill the SLAT 2024 Application Form

Candidates must have all the required documentation at hand in order to apply for the SLAT 2024. While some documents must be scanned and uploaded in the online form, others must be kept handy for reference. Candidates must ensure that they are ready with the things mentioned in the table below before filling out the SLAT 2024 application form.

Photograph and Signature Dimensions for the SLAT 2024 Application Form

SLAT 2024 Admit Card

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will publish details about the SLAT 2024 exam admit card on its official website, set-test.org. Applicants who have successfully filled out the SLAT application form can obtain their SLAT admit card for 2024 by logging in with their ID and password on the official website. During the examination, candidates are required to present both a valid photo ID and their SLAT exam admit card.

Candidates will be able to download their SLAT 2024 admit card by following the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the SLAT 2024 exam's official website, i.e. set-test.org.
  • Select "Download the SLAT 2024 admit card" link.
  • On the screen, a login window will display.
  • After entering your SLAT ID, select the "log in" tab.
  • The SLAT 2024 admit card will appear on the screen for download.
  • Take many prints of the SLAT 2024 admit card for your records.

Candidates must ensure to bring along the SLAT 2024 admit card along with an original photo ID proof for verification purposes. Candidates who fail to bring along their SLAT admit cards will not be allowed to enter the exam hall and they will be barred from taking the SLAT 2024 exam.

What is the registration fee for SLAT 2023?

The registration fee for SLAT 2023 is INR 1950 per test. The registration fee is the same across all categories and it can be paid online or offline through a demand draft. In addition to the payment of the prescribed SLAT 2023 application fee, candidates are also required to pay an additional programme fee of INR 1000 for each programme that they wish to apply for in PART II of the SLAT 2023 online registration form.

What is the SLAT 2023 eligibility criteria?

The SLAT 2023 eligibility criteria is the same for all the four SLAT 2023 participating institutions. The eligibility criteria for the test is as follows:

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized school board with a minimum aggregate percentage of 45% or equivalent grade point average.
  • There is a 5% relaxation in the minimum aggregate percentage for the SC/ ST categories, i.e. a candidate belonging from either SC or ST category must score at least 40% minimum aggregate marks or equivalent grade in class 12th or equivalent from a recognized school board.
  • There is no set age limit for the SLAT 2023 exam.
  • Candidates who are appearing for their class 12th examination are also eligible to apply for the SLAT 2023 test but the final admission for such candidates will only be done after successful verification of their class 10th and class 12th documents. Such candidates will be provided the admission only if they have passed class 12th with the required aggregate percentage along with clearing the SLAT 2023.
     

What are the documents required while completing the SLAT 2023 application process?

Candidates must have a few key documents on hand before submitting their SLAT applications. While some documents must be scanned and uploaded in the online form, others must be kept on hand for reference. The list of important documents required during the SLAT 2023 online application process are as follows:

  • Registered mobile number of the candidate
  • A Valid Email ID
  • Class 12th mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 10th mark sheet and certificate
  • Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority (Collector's office) for Nagpur Domiciled candidates

  • To register for SLAT 2023, candidates must first visit the official website at www.set-test.org
  • After opening the official website, candidates need to click on “Register for “SLAT and SITEEE 2023” link at the top right corner.

To secure admission to the B.A LLB programme at Swami Vivekananda Law College, you must have passed 10+2 with at least 45% marks (SC/ ST category candidates - 40%). The programme is 5 years long and divided into 10 semesters. It has an intake of 120 students. The programme is affiliated to CCS University, Meerut and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
