TN TET 2022 Exam Dates: Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test, also known as TN TET, paper 1 is to be held from Oct 14 to 20, 2022. TN TET Admit Card 2022 will also be uploaded on the official website a week before the exam. TN Board also provides the facility of practice test for the candidates who have successfully registered for the exam.The Practice test/ Mock test will be available on the official page at trb.tn.nic.in, 15 days prior to the actual exam. TNTET consists of two examinations: Paper 1 for Primary Level (Classes 1st to 5th) and Paper 2 for Upper Primary Level (Classes 6th to 8th). TNTET 2022 Application Form

The application form for TNTET 2022 can be filled out by following the steps mentioned below:

  • The application should be submitted online and will be available on the official website of TRB.
  • If you are applying for Paper 1 and 2 both, then you will have to apply separately for each.
  • Candidates must have a recent scanned color passport size photograph of themselves. The accepted formats are JPG, JPEG, and PNG and the size should be 20-60 KB. The scanned signature of the candidate in the same format is also required in the size of 10-30 KB. The photograph and signature are extremely important and without them the application will be rejected.
  • A valid e-mail id and a mobile number are compulsory for registration. The email id should be active always otherwise you will miss out on important notifications.
  • The candidates are expected to fill in all of their details with utmost attention and care. They will be considered final and no change will be allowed to be made. Defective or incomplete applications will be rejected.

TNTET Application Fee 2022

  • Online payment is accepted through the Payment Gateway. You can pay using your Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.
  • No offline mode of payment like demand draft or postal order is accepted.
  • The candidates appearing for Paper 1 and 2 both will have to pay separately for each of them.

TNTET Application Form Correction Window

TNTET Application form correction window will be made available online. Those candidates who have applied for the TNTET exam 2022 will be provided some time to make required changes to some parts of the application form. The guidelines related to correction window will be soon released by the official authorities. TNTET application 2022 online form was made available from March 14 to April 13, 2022, and then from April 18 to 26, 2022. According to a survey, the board has recieved a total of 6,32,764 applications for the TNTET 2022 exam. Out of these, 2,30,878 candidates applied for TNTET Paper 1 and 4,01,886 candidates applied for Paper 2.

  • Visit the official website of TRB- http://www.trb.tn.nic.in/.
  • On the home page, look for the 'Correction window' link.
  • Click on the link. Applicant login page will appear on the screen.
  • Now fill the login details and click on the submit button.
  • Cadidate will get their respective application form on the next page.
  • Now make the required changes appropriately without any mistake.
  • Go through the application form once more and click on the submit button.
  • Final Application form will be submitted on the official website.

TNTET Exam Pattern 2022

The TNTET examination will comprise 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and the duration of the exam will be of 3 hours. All the questions will be compulsory. No choice will be provided. The number of questions that will be asked from each section and marks allotted to them is given below.

Important Points:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy will be focusing on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning and will have relevance for the age group of 6 to 11 years.
  • Language 1 will focus on expertise in relation to the Medium of Instruction. It is compulsory for the candidate to choose any one language from those mentioned in S. No. 2 above (Tamil/ Telugu/ Malayalam/ Kannada/ Urdu). The candidates will be eligible for vacancies in that specific medium only during the recruitment process.
  • Language 2, which is English, will be focusing on the elements of language,
  • comprehension abilities and communication.
  • The focus of Mathematics and Environmental Studies will be on the problem-solving abilities, concepts and the pedagogical grasp of these subjects.
  • The TET paper will have questions that will be based on the topics of the syllabus that is prescribed for classes 1 - 5. However, their linkages, as well as difficulty level, will be somewhat up to the Secondary Stage.

Important Points:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy will be focusing on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning, with relevance to the age group of 11 to 14 years.
  • The primary focus of Language-I will be on the proficiencies that will be related to the medium of instruction. The candidate has to mandatorily choose any one language from those mentioned in S. No. 2 above (Tamil/ Telugu/ Malayalam/ Kannada/ Urdu). For the recruitment process, the candidate will be considered for the vacancies in that particular medium only.
  • Language II - English will be focusing on comprehension abilities, communication and the elements of language.

Steps to Download TNTET Admit Card 2022

TNTET 2022 Admit Card is available for download through online means only. Candidates must note that there  will be no formal message made to the candidate regarding the release of the admit card. The responsibility to download/print the admit card within the given date falls on the candidate.

To download the admit card, follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Go to the official website, which is trb.tn.nic.in.

Step 2: Scroll down to the bottom of the website and click on 'Download TNTET 2022 Admit Card.'

Step 3: Enter the TNTET Application Number and Password/DOB that was issued to the candidate.

Step 4: After submitting, the TNTET 2022 Admit Card for the given credentials will be displayed on the screen.

IMPORTANT:

TNTET Selection Process 2022

Exam: The responsible Tamil Nadu Recruitment Board officials will only hold one main examination, therefore you must begin preparing for the entrance exam right away. When the concerned officials of the Tamil Nadu Recruitment Board present the formal notification, the authorities will conduct the main examination. The authorities will conduct two tests, and you will be required to provide the test in accordance with the class you wish to teach. Teachers who wish to teach grades 1 through 5 will take the first test, and those who want to teach grades 5 through 8 can take the second test.

TNTET Examination Centres 2022

The TNTET will be conducted in all districts. The date, time and centre of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card of the candidate. The number of centres can be increased or decreased by the Board. Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website of TRB when they are available.

TNTET 2022 Result

The result of TNTET 2022 will be declared within 40 days after the exam. The candidate can log into their account using their username and password that will be provided by TN TRC.

Step 3: Candidates must enter their TNTET Roll Number and Password/DOB in the given fields.

Step 4: TNTET Result 2022 will be shown in the form of scores. Download the result and print it for future reference.

TNTET Important Points

  • The candidates who secure 60% or above in the TNTET Examination, be it Paper 1 or Paper 2, will be issued with the Pass Certificate of TNTET (Paper-1/ Paper-2). However, a relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to SC, SC(A), BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, ST and people with disabilities.
  • TET Certificate will be valid for a duration of seven years.
  • Having a TET certificate does not imply that the candidate has any right to appointment. It is just one of the eligibility criteria required for the appointment.
  • The candidates who qualify TNTET will have to appear for another competitive exam related to recruitment, according to G.O.(Ms)No.149, School Education (TRB) Department dated 20.07.2018.
