Are you soon going to attempt your CLAT 2023 exam? Discover all about the proper dress code and other important instructions that must be followed by each candidate to be able to sit for the examination.

CLAT 2023 Dress Code

Every year, the Consortium of NLUs will release detailed instructions that everyone must adhere to on the day of the CLAT exam. If you break any of the consortium's listed regulations, you are not permitted to take the exam. The CLAT exam date for this year is December 18, 2022. The organisation in charge of administering the exam issues two sets of instructions: the first set of instructions relates to the code of conduct, do’s and don’ts, dress code, etc. and the second set of instructions relates to any crises that may be ongoing across the country. Each candidate attempting the CLAT examination is mandatorily required to stick to all the examination day instructions and regulations laid by the Consortium of NLUs in order to successfully give their examination without any hassles.

CLAT 2023: Code of Conduct

It is anticipated that the CLAT Code of Conduct 2023 will replicate the one from the previous year. The CLAT exam facility will require you to adhere to the following guidelines on the day of the exam.

Candidates must have a valid ID card and their CLAT 2023 admit card on them at all times. Voter identification, an Aadhar card, a passport, or any other type of proof allowed by the CLAT admit card are examples of ID cards.

Other than the things listed below, applicants are not permitted to carry anything else while entering the examination centre.

  • Personal hand sanitizer
  • Pen
  • Admit card
  • Identity card
  • Phone  (to be deposited outside)
  • Mask
  • Gloves
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Compulsory Thermal screening
  • Candidates are not allowed to gather in groups
  • No calculators, paper, or other study materials are allowed within the building.

CLAT 2023 Dress Code

The CLAT 2023 dress code requirements must be followed by applicants. Any candidate who is discovered to be disobeying them will be eliminated from the exam. Following are the dress code requirements that must be followed mandatorily by all candidates in order to be able to sit for the CLAT 2023 examination:

  • The candidate must dress in half-sleeved attire. Additionally, they shouldn't wear a badge or large button that could be utilised to conceal anything.
  • In order to completely minimise the possibility of hiding any form of cheating material, candidates must dress in light colours.
  • The exam centre does not accept shoes. Either sandals or slippers are required for candidates.
  • Only analogue watches are permitted within the testing facility.
  • As there is no safekeeping facility for CLAT 2023, candidates should not bring expensive or priceless items with them.
  • At all costs, candidates are not permitted to wear rings, nose pins, chains, badges, etc.

Additionally, in order to stop the coronavirus from spreading, students are recommended to follow the CLAT exam day instructions provided by the organising authority. To avoid being disqualified from the exam, they must also adhere to the dress code and instructions.

CLAT 2023 Advisory Recommendations

On the day of the examination, students must learn a few secret tricks and tips. To have a successful trial, they can be used a few hours prior to the exam. CollegeDekho has created a list of a few crucial instructions to assist the applicants in coping with their anxiety and results-related pressure.

Do not study new things on the exam day: Candidates occasionally believe they will have extra time after their course is over and revision is complete to read about something new. On the day of the exam, we advise against starting a new topic. This would only occupy your memory and overburden you with information, which would cause confusion when it came time to take the test. Instead of revisiting the course calmly and preparedly, students typically panic once they start memorising more information.

Cross check all the documents: Even though the candidates will maintain all the necessary documents close at hand for the exam day, it is advised that they double-check them to reduce the likelihood that any documents will be overlooked. Don't forget to bring your CLAT 2020 admit card and a form of identification to the exam site, such as an Aadhaar card, driver's license, or PAN card.

Make sure you know the accurate exam location: To avoid any form of trouble when approaching the exam centre, candidates must have in-depth knowledge about it, including its location, the distance from their homes to the centre, travel time, popular surrounding landmarks, etc.

Take Enough Sleep: All the candidates must get a solid 7-8 hours of sleep each night to maintain mental clarity and a working thought process.

Be Punctual: Candidates must arrive at the exam location on time. It is highly advised to arrive at the exam location at least 45 to 1 hour prior to the test in order to avoid difficulties like traffic jams or car problems.

Don’t bring along prohibited items: Inside the test room, candidates should not bring extraneous objects such as electronic devices like cell phones, digital watches, calculators, and the like. The only things you need are your admit card, your ID, and some basic stationery items like pencils, pens, and erasers. Anyone found breaking the law will be disqualified from the test.

Examine the seating arrangement: As soon as they go inside the testing facility, candidates must check the seating arrangement. To verify that the specified seat is the one that will be taken and to prevent wasting time after reporting time in looking for the seat, the seating arrangement must be reviewed in addition to other information such as the name, date of birth, and roll number.

CLAT 2023: Misconduct Rules

Everyone who will take the CLAT 2023 exam is cautioned not to cause any type of disturbance inside the testing facility. If someone is discovered to be acting inappropriately in any area at the centre, unfavorable repercussions will have to be accepted.

No consideration will be given to candidates who have been found guilty of the following:

  • Using any prohibited items inside the exam room.
  • Attempting to imitate or pass for someone else.
  • Acting inappropriately during the test or during the interview.
  • Making inappropriate use of the application.

The following are the negative effects that misconduct brings about:

  • The candidates might be immediately removed from the test.
  • Depending on the severity of the wrongdoing, candidates may be permanently or temporarily excluded from the college hiring process via the CLAT examination.
  • The disqualification for that student would still be applied even if no guidelines were taken into consideration during the selection process.
