Eligibility for GNM Admissions 202
Entry requirements for the GNM course vary for different colleges. The following are the common criteria for GNM admissions in India.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with English as one of the compulsory subjects.
Candidates from Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects are eligible.
Candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary level of education from either the State Board of the intended state or a recognised National board.
Candidates who have completed Class 12 from NIOS (National Institute of Open School) or State Open School are also considered eligible.
The minimum percentage requirement may vary but one must have scored a minimum of 40 per cent marks in aggregate in the compulsory subjects.
Candidate must be over the age of 17 years.
The maximum age limit for the admissions is up to 35 years.

The application for the GNM admissions varies depending upon the level of admission.
In most cases, be it an institute-level admission or a state-level admission, the application process is completed in an online format.
If you are applying for a particular institute, you will have to visit the official website of that college.
In the case of state-level admissions, you will have to visit the official website of the entrance exam (if any) or the conducting body.
For online application, you will easily get a link to the application portal on the home page of the relevant official websites.
Your online application will usually begin with registering to the website and then filling up the application form.
Finally, you will have to upload your supporting documents and submit the form after making an application fee payment.
For offline application, you may have to collect an application form at the respective college or administrative office of the conducting authority.
In some cases of offline application, you can also download an application form from the official website of the respective authorities.
GNM Selection Process 2021
Like the application process, the selection process for GNM also varies depending upon the level of admission.
In some cases, the selection is done on the basis of an entrance exam whereas in some cases, candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in Class 12 examinations.
Candidates are selected through a counselling process which is conducted based on either of the two above-mentioned factors.
For state-level counsellings, candidates’ are allocated different colleges depending on their performance. The one with the best performance gets to choose a college among all the available choices.
Candidates with low performances are allocated seats at the remaining colleges.
