B.Tech in agriculture is similar to all other B.Tech courses in India and it can be completed in a duration of four years. A student who has studied Science in Class 12th can apply for B.Tech in agriculture course offered at variousagricultural colleges in India.

The other criteria for admission that a student must fulfil are as follows:

  • The candidate must have scored 50%- 60% in Class 12th. The percentage consideration may vary from institute to institute.

  • The student must hold a valid entrance test scorecard that is acceptable by the Institute

  • The student must complete the admission process like application form submission, attending counselling process and document verification to be considered for admission in a specific Institute.

However, it is not the eligibility criteria that matters while taking the course. Candidates must also have an interest in farming technologies and machinery to study B.Tech Agriculture Engineering. B Tech Agriculture Engineering Admission 2023

While some universities grant admission in the BTech Agricultural Engineering degree based on the merit earned by the student in JEE Main, some universities also have their own entrance exam to assess students' eligibility for admission. Shortlisted candidates are called for the university level examination based on their performance in the qualifying exam or an entrance exam, in which their competency in class 12 level Science, Mathematics Concept, Aptitude, and Reasoning is examined. Candidates are further required to clear the personal intefview organized by the institute to be eligible for admission.
