Cyber Games that We All Loved

Computers were so rare in the 90s. I bet you all loved that friend or relative who owned a computer at that time. Watching the machine was so fascinating, let alone the games that came with it. Those were the times when moving the mouse was a game in itself. Those were the times when pinball was one of your favourite games.

Time flies! Today the meaning of games is high definition, good graphics and amazing user experience. Although PlayStation has changed the definition of cyber games, you have to admit that no matter how bad the graphics were or how slow the game processed, there were some games that you will never forget throughout your life.

If you were born in the 90s, you are definitely going to remember the following games. So let’s surf through the list of cyber games that we all loved.

Super Mario Bros.

Super Mario Bros. is one of the best side-scroller games till date. The game was initially released on 13th September 1985 and is one of the most played games in the world. If you are feeling nostalgic then you are not alone!

Road Rash

One of the best EA games till date. The game was released in 1991 and was one of the popular racing games. All you had to do was keep riding and not get busted though the best part was getting to kick the bikes beside you.

Age of Empires

Age of Empires became huge at one point of time. The first game of the series was released in 1997 and displayed quite a fair version of ancient civilizations. It was fun collecting all those assets and building your own town but fight battles was most thrilling.

Need for Speed: Underground

Irrespective of all the HD NFS games that have been launched till date, Underground is the best considering that it was launched in 2003 and the quality of animation it had. You can’t deny that using NoS while racing was your own version of Fast and Furious.

Contra

Contra was the best run and gun game of the time. It was initially released in 1987 and distributed as Gryzor in Europe. From the gymnastic skills of the player to the great visuals, the game was great fun.

Virtua Cop

This was one of the best multi-player games of the time. First game of Virtua Cop series was released in September 1994. It was one of those games that made you want to become a cop.

Adventure Island

Another one of the side scrolling games, Adventure Island was released in 1986. Although not as great as Super Mario, this game had its own kick.

Duck Hunt

Duck Hunt was not one of those games where you are on an exciting mission but it was the game where you could shoot for real. Released on April 21, 1984, it allowed you to play with NES Zapper, one of the finest light guns.

Space Invaders

You would know what aliens looked like in the 90s if you have played Space Invaders. The game was first released in 1978. The alien attack along with the deathly background music use to make all your hair stand on their edge.

Tetris

Although this game was nothing more than perfectly arranging coloured boxes, it was one of the best pass time. It was initially released on June 6, 1984 and is another one of the most played games.
