Less than a week is left for the exam and it is time to revise all that you have prepared in the past few months for the IIFT Exam 2017. With the steps given below, you can maximize your performance in the IIFT Exam.

IIFT Exam Last Minute Preparation Tips:

Smart Revision:

With limited time at your hand, do not try to study anything new. Instead, go through what you have studied so far and revise all the concepts that you learned for the exam. Pay special attention to the areas that you consider weak and practice questions to strengthen these areas.

Device a Strategy:

While giving mock tests, keep a track of your errors and the questions that you got wrong. Practice these questions again. Also, device a strategy and plan what sections you are going to attempt first. Implement this strategy in mock tests to ensure whether this strategy is working or not. If need, make changes in your strategy to enhance your performance.

Take Proper Rest:

The most important factor in the last week of the exam is to take proper rest. Make sure that you are taking eight hours of sleep to refresh your mind. A fresh mind is very important for your concentration and to perform well on the day of the exam.

Tips for IIFT Exam Day:

Start with Sections that are your Strength:

IIFT is a pen-paper based exam and all the sections open for you to attempt, unlike CAT. Therefore, you have the liberty to start with the section of your preference. To turn this feature into an advantage, you should always start with your strongest section. For example, if general knowledge is your strongest section, you must start with this section.

Finish off the easy questions first:

To get a head-start in the exam, always attempt the easy questions first. This will enhance your confidence while you are attempting the question paper and will also ensure that you have attempted all the easy questions that will help you score. Finishing the easy questions first will give you more time to attempt questions with a higher difficulty level.

Avoid answering Questions you are Unsure about:

Negative marking is applicable in IIFT Exam, therefore, it will be a smart move to ignore questions that you are not sure about because for every wrong answer one-third of the marks for the question will be deducted.

Keep the Difficult Questions for the Last:

Time management during the exam is very important. You should to complete the easy questions first, followed by moderate questions. Make sure that you have answered all the questions within your reach correctly before jumping on to the difficult questions. Remember, getting more correct questions is more important than attempting the entire question paper.

Keep Checking the Time:

While you are solving the question paper, keep tabs on the time left. Make sure that you are not wasting too much time on one question. Also, ensure that you have fairly distributed time for all the sections as you are required to clear the overall cut-off as well as the overall cut-off.
