  • The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised university.

  • Admissions to MBA and MBA (IB) programmes at BHU are on the basis of CAT 2022.

  • Candidates are required to appear in CAT 2022 and register at FMS, BHU through a separate admission application which is available at the official website of the university.

BHU MBA Application Process 2023

To apply for Banaras Hindu University (BHU) MBA admission 2023 candidates will have to fill out an application form. The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) application form for MBA admissions can be obtained from the official website. Given below is the step-by-step process to fill out the Banaras Hindu University application form 2023.

Step 1 - Registration

  • ​Visit the official website to apply for the MBA course at BHU (bhuonline.in)

  • Register with your Email ID and Mobile Number and verify by entering the OTP received.

  • The university will send all communications via the email ID and Mobile No. provided during registration.

Step 2 - Filling Application Form

  • The registered candidate can then login and start filling up their application form.
  • The candidate will be required to provide all of their personal information and academic background details in the application.

  • All of the information entered must be correct and as per their supporting documents, which will be verified later in the admission process.

  • The candidate must provide valid ID proof along with their applications. The following documents are considered valid by the university:

  • For final selection to BHU MBA and MBA (IB) candidates are required to appear in the CAT exam followed by GD and PI rounds.
  • During the final selection process, 50% weightage is given to CAT, 20% weightage to academic records, Group discussion and Interview (conducted by FMS, BHU) comprises 30% weightage.
MBA (AB)
  • A written entrance test is conducted by the university followed by GD and PI rounds as a part of the final selection.

  • The selection of the candidate to the PGDBA programme at BHU is on the basis of the combined merit of Group Discussion and Interview of eligible candidates to be conducted at FMS, BHU.

BHU MBA Counselling Process 2022

During the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) counselling for MBA courses candidates will be required to visit the campus for document verification. Document verification is an important part of the BHU MBA counselling process. BHU has the right to cancel the admission of the candidates who fail to provide the original documents and certificates during the counselling process. Given below is the counselling process of BHU MBA Admissions 2023.

  • Candidates will be called for BHU Counselling based on merit. The merit will be calculated on the basis of the entrance exam score and selection round score of the candidate.

  • Tiebreaker in BHU MBA Counselling: A tie-breaker will be used in case two or more candidates have a equal rank in the BHU Counselling Merit List. Given below are the tie-breaking rules of BHU MBA Admissions:

    • First, the candidate with a higher score in the qualifying exam will be preferred in the tie-breaker.

    • In case the the qualifying exam score is equal, then the senior candidate will be given priority in admission.

  • The document verification round will be conducted by the university on the counselling day. Candidates must bring the following documents in original and a photocopy of each.

    • Class 10th/ 12th/ Graduation Mark Sheet

    • Caste Certificate

    • Migration Certificate etc.

  • After the counselling, candidates will be granted provisional admission on the basis of merit.

  • The admission will be finalised after the candidate has submitted the required fee before the deadline.

  • The provisional admission of a candidate may be cancelled in case there is any discrepancy in their documents or academic record.

BHU MBA Cut Off 2023

The cut off for MBA admissions in BHU will be released by the university on the official website. The BHU Cut Off will depend on various factors such as the number of applications received by the course, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, seat availability, category of seat, etc. Candidates who clear the cut off will be eligible to appear in the selection rounds including Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview.

BHU MBA Paid Seat (Direct) Admissions 2023

After completing BHU Admissions 2023 for MBA in regular seats, BHU will prepare a separate merit list of candidates for admission under Paid Seats. Candidates who are not able to clear the merit for MBA Admissions under the regular process can apply for Paid Seats at BHU and get a chance to take admission to the university. Paid seats will be supernumerary in nature and candidates will have to pay an extra fee for admission apart from the regular tuition fee and hostel fee for the course. In case a regular seat becomes vacant before the last date of admission, a candidate who has applied for a paid seat will be considered for the regular seat and the extra fees paid will be returned to them.
