NEET 2024 Chemistry: What Makes It Unavoidable

Many students tend to fear the Chemistry section because of the abstract nature of many chemical concepts. Others may find memorizing the tables and chemical formulas difficult. Chapters on Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry may seem hard to grasp for many students. Due to all these reasons, they end up avoiding the Chemistry section. But when you are aiming for NEET, skipping the Chemistry section altogether may not be a smart thing to do because that will majorly affect your scores and rank.

If you know how to approach the subject and learn the concepts instead of mumbling the formulas and taking down notes blindly, Chemistry will seem a lot easier and more fun. Once you have understood the basic concept, you can proceed to solve test papers to evaluate your performance.

Points to Remember When Preparing NEET Chemistry Study Plan

For your last-minute preparations, keep these points in mind:

  • Questions from the Physical Chemistry are mostly formula-based, so make sure you are well versed with all the formulas

  • Organic Chemistry is solely based on the students’ learning ability. This section is also the most scoring because the questions are direct and to the point. Therefore, the candidate must learn all the names and chemical reactions by heart.

  •  Inorganic Chemistry can be scored if a student learns and understands the concepts instead of memorizing by heart.

  • Revise the Periodic Table every day till you have it at your fingertips

  • Be selective, choose the topics that carry more weightage

  • Read NCERT books thoroughly and prioritize chapters based on the previous trends

  • Solve sample papers on NEET 2024 Chemistry

  • Sit for mock tests regularly once you are done covering the important chapters

Dear Student, For admission to the BVSc at GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Pantnagar, the expected ranks vary by category. If you're a general category candidate, aim for a rank within 500 to 1000. For OBC candidates, the range is 600 to 1200. SC candidates should ideally secure a rank between 1500 and 2000, and for ST candidates, the rank should be between 2700 and 3200. As the actual cutoff ranks can vary each year, striving for a high rank in the entrance exam conducted by the university will increase your chances of admission. Best of luck!
