Paramedical Vs AYUSH Courses - Admissions and Entrance Exams
Where admission to AYUSH courses in India is done solely on the basis of entrance exams, admission to paramedical courses at some colleges can also be done on the basis of class 12 percentage. In order to get admission in undergraduate AYUSH courses, you will have to appear in NEET UG Exam. Before 2018, there used to be various different entrance exams, but all of them have been scrapped and NEET UG is the only exam that caters to different fields of medical education at the undergraduate level. For the postgraduate level, you will have to appear in All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET). For paramedical courses, you can appear for NEET-UG, NEET PG, NIPER JEE, NILD, etc.
In case of direct admissions, as done in most of the Paramedical state counsellings, you will be allocated a college as per your percentage in 10+2. So, the higher the percentage, the higher the chances of you getting an admission.
