SOIL School of Business Design introduces its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Business Design & Innovation to meet the growing demand for business innovation and creative problem solvers. The curriculum will place a greater emphasis on Design Thinking and Innovation and will include a concentration in Business Design in addition to the standard specialities in Marketing, Analytics, Human Resources, and Finance.
This two-year PGDM is a daring and radical step forward in management education. The program's goal is to develop corporate leaders who are skilled in problem-solving and creativity. The programme committee carefully constructed the PGDM experiential learning immersion to allow students to discover business life while studying and to work on live projects assessing the real-world impact of their solutions.
Course Specialisations
The PGDM programme allows students to choose their specialisation with wide freedom. Students are urged to keep an open mind and explore the programme during Year 1 before deciding on a major after semester 3. SOIL Gurgaon PGPM & PGDM Eligibility Criteria 2023
The admission or eligibility criteria for SOIL Gurgaon PGPM & PGDM courses remain the same for 2023 admissions. The eligibility requirements that aspirants must meet in order to be admitted to SOIL Gurgaon are as follows:
A completed Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a graduating grade point average of at least 50%.
More than 60% in class 10th and 12th is required.
Freshmen and graduates with work experience are encouraged to apply.
Valid CAT/NMAT/GMAT/XAT scores
Minimum two years of prior work experience for the PGPM programme and 0-5 years of work experience for the PGDM programme.

SOIL Gurgaon Scholarships
SOIL is dedicated to making their PGPM and PGDM programmes available to the most dedicated and high-potential leaders of tomorrow. To accomplish this, it offers the following SOIL scholarships worth two crores (for all SOIL programmes):
Need-Based Scholarship: The goal of the SOIL need-based scholarship is to help potential students who want to pursue PGDM or PGPM programmes but require financial assistance. Students whose gross annual family income for the preceding fiscal year is less than INR 5,00,000 are eligible to apply for this award.
Merit-Based Scholarship: The scholarship committee evaluates applications based on the student's academic record and Entrance Exam scores. Shortlisted students are invited to meet with the scholarship committee in person. The selected students can get a scholarship of up to INR 2,00,000.
Dr Verghese Kurien Scholarship: In honour of Dr V. Kurien, the father of India's White Revolution, this scholarship is provided to farmer wards to pursue the PGDM degree. Farmer's wards with an annual income of less than INR 5,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
Defence Personnel Scholarship: This award encourages the children of serving military personnel and ex-servicemen to enrol in the PGDM programme at SOIL. This programme takes into account all Indian defence services and BSF families.
Unique Achievement Award: Students who have received prizes or achievements in sports, fine arts, social work, or other comparable professions are eligible for this category of scholarships.
Outstanding Work in NGOs/Teach for India/AISEC Scholarships: Students who are full-time employees of any Registered NGO or Non-Profit Organisations working in the social space for the past year or more are eligible for the scholarships. The maximum amount of the scholarship is INR 2 lakhs.

For aspirants to have a general idea of the complete admission procedure, below is the overall general outline of the SOIL Gurgaon PGPM & PGDM programmes admission 2023:
Step 1: Submit the Online Application
The SOIL PGPM & PGDM application process needs to complete an online application form by the application deadline. Students must furnish the admissions committee with the following information.

Step 2: Profile Shortlisting

Step 3: a) The Design Thinking Workshop for PGDM Programme
This is an activity-based session based on the Design Thinking approach. Students will learn about the design thinking process as well as how to practise and apply what they have learned. The students will next use the five main steps of design thinking to solve a problem: empathise, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Following the design thinking session, there will be a round of personal interviews.
b) Pre-Interview Assessment for PGPM Programme
An evaluation to determine your life goals and design your chosen professional path. This is normally done an hour before your personal interview. Students applying for PGPM programmes should think about their career goals/aspirations and general life summary.
Step 4: Personal Interview
A faculty member and a senior industry person will conduct interviews with short-listed candidates. Interviews last approximately 45 minutes, during which you will be asked questions about your background, objectives, and how the PGPM & PGDM programmes fit into your career plans. Students are asked to report 30 minutes before the interview or to be ready 30 minutes before if the interview is conducted via Skype/Zoom.
Step 5: Admission Result
Within four weeks after the interview, all candidates will receive final decisions via email. There are three possible outcomes from your interview:
- You have been invited to join the programme.
- You have been summoned for a second personal interview.
- You are unable to secure a place this year.
Step 6: Registration and Scholarship
After registering for the programme and paying the initial tuition of INR 2,10,000, students are entitled to apply for PGPM & PGDM scholarships. The programme administrator will contact you to offer you the opportunity to apply for the scholarships as stated above.

While applying for the SOIL Gurgaon PGPM or PGDM programmes, the following documents must be asked for when applying online:

SOIL Gurgaon PGPM & PGDM Admissions 2023 Shortlisting Process
SOIL places a greater emphasis on the applicant's profile than on entrance exam scores and academics alone. It emphasises a profile-based admission process rather than an exam-based one. In the selection process, the following parameters are utilized to evaluate students for the PGPM programme:

The selection committee, composed of faculty and executive members from the SOIL PGPM programme, reviews all submissions.
Note: SOIL's Unique Admission Process includes Talent Appreciation. As your profile, talent, and interests are more important, the SOIL one-year PGPM Admission criteria 2023 would not require a very high entrance exam score. If you meet the SOIL one-year PGPM qualifying criteria and have the 5 C's listed above, you may be offered a PGPM admission by SOIL.
On the other hand, for the PGDM programmes, candidates will be shortlisted based on their previous academic performance, admission exam results (CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT), and appropriate work experience. Candidates will be notified of their selection through email or SMS to their registered phone number, with all pertinent information.
Candidates must attend a Design Thinking Workshop, which will be a half-day workshop in which students will tackle real-world challenges. This will give an indication of the students' inventive and creative approach to problem-solving, teaching, and learning skills.
- A panel of industry professionals and SOIL faculty will conduct the personal interview.
- Candidates will be chosen based on their previous academic performance, extracurricular achievements, relevant work experience, exam scores, performance in the workshop and personal interviews.
- Selected candidates will be notified of their selection through email, along with information about their admission and payment of admission costs.
SOIL Gurgaon PGPM & PGDM Cut-Off 2023
A student must have qualifying and competitive entrance exam results in order to be admitted to SOIL Gurgaon's PGPM & PGDM programmes. Acceptable entry tests include the CAT, XAT, NMAT, and GMAT. However, there are no established cut-off marks for SOIL releases. The institute selects students not just based on their academic performance but also on their complete profile. The admissions committee evaluates students' profiles based on important characteristics such as leadership potential, academic excellence, extracurricular achievements, intellectual capacity, and so on, as well as group exercises/discussions and personal interviews.
