For admission to VMOU B.Ed entrance exam, the Vardhman Mahaveer Open University follows some of the strict eligibility requirements. Only the candidates who fulfil the required eligibility are allowed to sit for the examination. Hence, students are advised to read all the eligibility before applying for the VMOU B.Ed 2023 as given below:

  • The candidate must have passed a graduate or an equivalent degree from a recognised institute with a minimum aggregate of 50% (40% for reserved caste).
  • The candidate must have passed the graduate or postgraduate level degree in either Science, Commerce or Arts stream with 50% aggregate.

Or

  • The candidate must have passed the B.tech graduation degree with the primary subjects as Science and Mathematics with 55% aggregate.
  • The candidate must be appointed as a primary teacher for class 1 to 5 or class 5 to 8 in any school recognised by the government.
  • The candidate must have passed 2 years’ regular teaching course in B.S.T.C or D.El.Ed or any similar course, approved by NCTE.
  • There is no compulsion of possessing 2 years of teaching experience for the candidates. However, it is compulsory for the candidate to be currently appointed as a teacher in any recognised school and continue teaching throughout his/her B.Ed. course.

VMOU B.Ed 2023 Reservation Policy 

There is a relaxation/reservation of 5% which is given by the VMOU board to some of the reserved categories of Rajasthan. These reserved candidates are given preference for the 5% in the educational aggregate requirement. The reserved categories will be given 5% reservation for VMOU B.Ed 2023 are listed below:

  • Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes Candidates
  • Other Backward Caste Candidates

VMOU B.Ed 2023 Exam Pattern 

The VMOU B.Ed 2023 examination was conducted on the OMR sheet and the questions were in the MCQ format. The total duration for the test will be of 3 hours. 3 marks will be awarded for each question, with the total marks being 450. There will be 5 sections in the paper namely:
