Although GATE score is necessary to pursue M.Tech at IITs, there are other colleges that offer M.Tech admission without a GATE score as well.

The M.Tech fee structure at some IITs for odd and even semester also varies. For example, if the M.Tech fee at an IIT for the odd semester is Rs. 57,000, the fees for even semester will be around Rs. 40,000. On the other hand, IITs fix different fee structure for the batches admitted every year. The fee structure for the 2018-19 batch is yet to be announced by IITs. The fee structure mentioned above was approximate and it was based on previous years fee structure.
