B.Ed After B.Com Options

Among the popular courses and degrees that have been pursued by candidates across the country has been the Bachelor of Education. Many aspirants choose to pursue B.Ed. after successfully completing their undergraduate and/or postgraduate degrees in different fields. In India, like MBA and PGDM courses, aspirants from different fields, streams and disciplines will be able to pursue B.Ed..

In other words, those who have successfully completed and clear a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) course will also be able to pursue B.Ed.. Unlike many other graduate courses, B.Ed. colleges in India offer the course to aspirants on certain different parameters, and sometimes even for certain different eligibility criteria.

In this article, we will talk about the different aspects and parameters aspirants will be required to satisfy in order to pursue B.Ed. after B.Com. Eligible Subject Combinations in B.Ed. for B.Com Graduates

A unique parameter required for the admission to B.Ed. is the past academic qualification of the candidate. Depending on the academic backgrounds of the applicant, candidates will be offered a few choices with regard to subject combinations. These subject combinations will be available to the aspirants based on what they pursued in 10+2, Undergraduate and/or at Postgraduate Level.

The eligible subject combinations for B.Ed. for B.Com graduates primarily includes social studies subjects and humanities courses. There are other subjects that are offered to graduates with different degrees in other disciplines. For instance, BA and B.Sc in Mathematics or BCA graduates will be offered Mathematics subjects primarily. Students will be able to select other subjects based on their academic qualifications but these subjects would be considered secondary.

However, a number of B.Ed. colleges in India also offer B.Ed. in Commerce or Accountancy, where the students will be able to pursue commerce and accountancy courses primarily. However, for such courses, aspirants will be required to have a valid postgraduate degree in commerce, i.e. M.Com.

In India, admissions to the various B.Ed. courses are offered on the basis of the scores obtained by the aspirant in the accepted B.Ed. entrance exams in India. Being a highly popular course, students will be able to appear for various B.Ed. entrance exams at University-level. All aspirants are required to have appeared for a B.Ed. entrance exam that is accepted by the college you wish to join.

Entrance Exams for B.Ed. in India

As mentioned above, admissions to the Bachelor of Education or B.Ed. course in India is done based on the scores obtained by the aspirant in entrance exams. If you are interested in pursuing the course then you must appear in one of the following B.Ed. entrance exams in India.

These are just some of the entrance exams that one can attempt to enrol under one of the B.Ed. programmes. As mentioned above, most of the entrance exams available in India are conducted at the university level. However, Some states also conduct the exams at the State-Level.
