  • Subjects in which the aspirants are strong and weak should be listed separately.

  • Since the majority of the questions are directly related to law, students should be well-versed in judgements and the latest developments in the legal sector.
  • Aspirants should revise every 15 days to get a strong grasp of what they have learned.

CLAT UG 2024 Syllabus

Aspirants must thoroughly prepare by reviewing the CLAT 2024 Syllabus and all sections to be covered. CLAT Exam 2024 is divided into five sections which are described in detail below.

CLAT 2024 English Language Syllabus

In this section of the UG-CLAT 2024, students will be given passages of approximately 450 words each. These passages will be inspired by modern or historically significant fiction and nonfiction writing and the language will be of the 12th standard level.

CLAT 2024 Current Affairs/ General Knowledge Syllabus

In this section, students will have to read passages of up to 450 words. The passages will be taken from news items, editorial publications, and other nonfiction sources. Each segment will be accompanied by a set of questions designed to test their understanding of current events and general knowledge, such as contemporary events from India and around the world, historical events, arts and culture, international affairs etc.

This section of CLAT 2024 will assess applicants' fundamental logical reasoning knowledge by assigning 9-10 passages totalling 29-30 questions. Each text passage will be followed by one or more questions requiring the applicant to recognize arguments, premises, and conclusions. Read the passage and identify the various arguments. Analyse reasoning patterns critically and determine how specific premises or evidence may influence conclusions. Determine the meaning of the passage and apply the findings to new situations.

CLAT 2024 Legal Reasoning Syllabus

Candidates will need top-notch reading and comprehension skills to score well in this section. A candidate's chances of doing well in CLAT 2024 can be greatly increased if they thoroughly understand the basic legal principles guaranteed by the constitution.

The applicants will be given reading assignments of about 450 words each. These passages' legal, policy, and ethical questions may be drawn from real-world experiences or hypothetical situations. The section assumes no prior knowledge of law on the part of the student.

CLAT 2024 Logical Reasoning Syllabus

Students have to answer a series of short passages of approximately 300 words each. Each passage will have queries to recognize an argument, including its premises and conclusions. The aspirants must determine what follows from the passage and apply their findings to new scenarios. They need to draw comparisons and links, discover contradictions and equivalents, and evaluate the effectiveness of arguments.

CLAT 2024 Quantitative Techniques Syllabus
The Quantitative Techniques component of the UG-CLAT 2024 will feature a series of questions and small sets of facts or propositions, graphs, or other textual, graphical, or diagrammatic representations of numerical information. Students will be expected to infer information from these texts, diagrams, or other visualisations and apply mathematical techniques to solve.

The problems will ask participants to: derive, deduce, and interpret numerical data from texts, graphs, or other forms. They must be skilled at applying a variety of 10th-standard mathematical procedures to such data, including ratios and proportions, mensuration, introductory algebra, and statistical prediction.
