IICD Eligibility Criteria 2021

The eligibility criteria for all the courses of IICD have been explained in detail below. All the interested students must check the eligibility criteria for each programme before submitting their application forms. The institute is quite strict about its conditions of eligibility and does not consider any student for admission if he/ she does not qualify all the prerequisites.

IICD B.Des Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • In order to qualify the B.Des eligibility criteria at IICD, the candidates must have completed their education up to the higher secondary level or class 12th.
  • The school from which the student obtains his/ her class 12th degree must be affiliated to any recognised state or central board of education like the ISC, the CBSE, etc.
  • It is essential that the candidate receives at least 45 to 50 per cent marks in aggregate in the 10 + 2 degree.
  • The student must have scored passing marks in all the subjects that he/ she has at the 10 + 2 level. Anyone with a back or a compartment exam that is yet to be cleared will not be accepted for admission.
  • Students from all streams and disciplines can apply for admission to B.Des at IICD.

IICD M.Des Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • The eligibility criteria for M.Des at IICD entail the candidate to have completed his/ her education up to the undergraduate level.
  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in either design or architecture. Those who have pursued graduation in any other stream will have to apply for the 3 year long M.Des programme offered at IICD.
  • The university or college from which the student obtains his/ her bachelor’s degree must be recognised and approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission).
  • It is mandatory that the candidate secures passing marks in all the exams that he/ she undertakes in graduation.
  • The aggregate score of the applicant in the qualifying degree must not be less than 50 per cent.

IICD M.Voc Eligibility Criteria 2021

  • IICD offers an integrated course of M.Voc to interested students. The M.Voc eligibility criteria at IICD require the candidate to have completed his/ her higher secondary education in the regular mode.
  • The student must have completed class 12th from a school that functions under a recognised central or state board of education.
  • The aggregate marks of the applicant in class 12th board examinations must be at least 45 to 50 per cent.
  • It is important for the applicant to have received passing marks in the exams of all the subjects that he/ she has at the 10 + 2 level.
  • No restriction regarding the stream is enforced and students from all disciplines can apply for admission.

IICD Selection Process 2021

The selection process of Indian Institute of Craft and Design is based on the IICD Entrance Test. The applicants will have to give a written test, submit SOP & Portfolio and then appear for a Personal Interview. The admit card for IICD Admissions 2021 is released through an online mode. Candidates are sent the IICD Admit Card 2021 on the registered e-mail address and they are required to download it in order to sit for the exam.
