The National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT 2022 entrance exam will be conducted on February 6, in online, remote proctored mode. The detailed guidelines for NIFT 2022 examination have been released on the official website. The aspirants are advised to refer to the official guidelines for appearing in NIFT 2022 entrance exam. Two crucial points to be followed by the applicants are that they should use a desktop/ laptop or android mobile phone/tablet for taking the exam, and secondly, an android mobile phone for monitoring from the rear.
The grounds of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to conduct its entrance exam is to shortlist the candidates for the admission process for its design programs such as Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech). As per the rule of the NIFT 2022 entrance exam for BDes and MDes admission, candidates have to first appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT).

Last-moment preparation tips for NIFT 2022
Tip 1.Do not start a new topic
As the NIFT entrance exam 2022 is just around the corner so starting a new topic isn’t the right idea. The aspirants should be focused more on revising the learned topics. Taking new topics will only get you confused at the moment resulting in creating further mental pressure.
The aspirants must spend their maximum time revising all the topics which they have studied in the last few months. Additionally, they must make small notes for last-minute revision which will be a great help before the examination. Revising the topics, again and again, will only help the candidates strengthen their skills.
Tip 3:Mock tests
As per NIFT 2022 guidelines, mock tests are compulsory for all applicants. NIFT conducted its mandatory mock test on February 4, in two sessions - morning and evening. Mock tests give candidates a chance to test their preparation. It also provides an idea about the actual exam scenario. Further, aspirants can keep a check on their strengths and weaknesses through the mock tests.
Tip 4:Solved sample papers
The most efficient tips for last-minute preparation is to solve as many NIFT sample papers as possible. It improves the problem-solving skills, provides the aspirants a set pattern of the exam, also helps them in revising and highlighting their weakness to work upon.
Tip 5:Time management
Candidates must focus on developing a time management strategy. The aspirants should make their timetable and stick to it sincerely. E.g., they can make a schedule for revision and practice one sample paper daily in the morning for better learning. In the evening, they can test their preparation by practicing a mock test or solving another sample paper and checking it for review, this will help them monitor their performance. This will also strengthen their preparation and will improve their performance in the actual examination.
Tip 6:Give your mind a break
Studying for a longer duration is not advisable because can be exhausting and will affect the quality of the study. Further, it can affect the grasping and memorizing capacity of the candidates. Hence, they must consider keeping small breaks in between so that their mind can rest and be refreshed. It will enhance the quality of study and increase the concentration, which is much needed in the during the exam preparation.
Tip 7:Do not avoid your health
Staying healthy should be a priority for the candidates. At this point, if they are not keeping well then definitely their performance will be affected during the examination. Physical and mental health should not be compromised at any cost. Candidates should eat healthy food and sleep well for their well-being.
Tip 8:Stay calm and focussed
Do not get stressed and defocused. Be confident about your preparations and learning. A person can achieve his/her goal if he/she believes in him/herself and overcome the fear of losing in the examination. It is a must for the candidates to stay motivated by bringing positive thoughts in their mind. The only focus of the aspirants should be on achieving their goal instead of getting distracted and panicky by thinking about the end result.
Tip 9:Keep important documents ready
Candidates should keep their required documents ready before the examination. They must keep the required documents updated in the system e.g., admit card which is available to download from January 29, 2022, the valid photo id proof like adhar card, license, voter id card, PAN Card. Candidates must check their desktop and internet connection before to avoid last-minute panic.
Some other important points to be noted:
- It is a must for the candidates to read all the given instructions on the admit card carefully.
- The candidates should carefully check and read the rules and guidelines given by the NIFT to avoid last-minute panic.
- Online invigilation will be going on during the examination.
- The candidates should not use any other electronic gadgets for their personal reasons during the examination e.g., mobile phones, etc.
- They must keep in mind that no extra time will be given after the examination.
- It is advisable to check the internet service and desktop beforehand for smooth functioning and better connectivity.
