NEET 2022 Qualifying Marks

NEET qualifying marks are the marks needed to qualify for the counselling procedure. Students often think the qualifying marks for NEET to be 50% of the total score i.e. 720/2 = 360. This is because they confuse percentile with a percentage but let us tell you how they are different from one another. For example, if the NEET qualifying mark is 50th percentile, this means a candidate has to score better than at least 50% of the total number of NEET applicants. The qualifying marks for NEET vary each year, typically ranging from 150 to 200. However, candidates must note that marks obtained in this range are not good enough to secure a seat in any good medical college.

NEET 2022 Cutoff Marks

NEET cutoff marks refer to the scores that determine your seat in a medical college. It denotes the minimum qualifying percentile that candidates are required to score to be eligible for admission. It is important for candidates to clear the NEET 2022 cutoff to be eligible for counselling. Obtaining scores well above the cutoff marks helps students grab a seat. However, these cutoffs also tend to change each year based on various factors, like the number of applicants in the given year, the difficulty level of the entrance exam, seats available per college, and others.
