SSC as an organization manages and administers the recruitment section for different posts in various departments, ministries, and offices in the Government of India. SSC full form is Staff Selection Commission. The commission is responsible for conducting competitive exams to recruit eligible candidates for various government posts. The recruitment by SSC is carried out in various government agencies, or institutions based on the vacancies. The exam is usually conducted once a year and some exams are conducted twice a year. SSC CGL Exam

SSC CGL full form is Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam. The SSC CGL 2023 exam is conducted by the exam conducting body known as the Staff Selection Commission for both Group B and C for Gazetted and non-Gazetted posts in different Government of India institutions. SSC CGL is a national-level  exam like SSC CHSL, SSC CPO, SSC Junior Engineer, SSC MTS, and SSC JHT in which the candidates appear with the willingness to serve the nation. The SSC Combined Graduate Level exam is conducted to recruit qualified candidates for various posts like Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Accounts Officer, Assistant Section Officer, Inspector of Income Tax, Inspector (Central Excise), Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector, etc. according to the vacancies each year.

SSC CHSL Exam

SSC CHSL full form is  Staff Selection Combined Higher Secondary Level. The exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for hiring candidates for different government job positions.  It is a national-level examination which is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The SSC CHSL is conducted to recruit candidates for various government departments which includes the Junior Secretariat, Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator, and many more.

Junior Engineer Exam

The full form of JE is the Junior Engineer Exam. The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Exam every year for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in different specializations such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Quantity Surveying and Contracts posts for various Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India respectively. 

SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment is done for various departments responsible for carrying out overall projects on every scale. A few of the departments for which SSC Junior Engineers are recruited are:

SSC CPO Exam

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Central Police Organization, written as CPO Exam for recruitment of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF. The SSC CPO exam is conducted to recruit police officers in different administrative posts. 

To apply for the post of CPO, the candidate must check the minimum eligibility criteria lead by SSC. The minimum educational qualification required to apply for the SSC CPO posts for the interested candidate is a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University. 

SSC CPO Salary

The basic salary for SSC CPO is Rs. 35,400 and the gross salary is approx Rs.47,496.  Currently, the SSC CPO salary structure along with various government positions has been upgraded and revised after the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission. Whereas, the pre-revised grade pay was Rs. 4200 in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800.

Departments in SSC CPO 

Through the SSC Central Police Organization exam, there are various departments under which Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspectors are recruited as per the vacancies available. Few of the positions in SSC CPO are mentioned below –

SSC Stenographer Exam

SSC Stenographer is an examination to recruit candidates for Stenographer Grade C post which is non-gazetted post and Grade D posts in various departments, ministries and organizations of the Government of India as per the vacancy. It is an All India level examination conducted by SSC once a year.

For the 2023 session, the SSC has not released the notification yet. Before filling out the application form for the SSC Stenographer exam, the candidate must check the eligibility criteria. The eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam and proceed with the selection process. To appear in Group C and D of the SSC Stenographer exam, the candidates must have passed 12th from the recognized board.

SSC Stenographer Salary 2023 

The salary of SSC Stenographer is revised after the implication of the 7th Pay Commission. Currently, SSC Stenographer's  in-hand salary for Grade C and Grade D employees ranges between INR 14000 to INR 7500, respectively. The salary of an SSC Stenographer position varies according to the job role, post, and experience.
