Assam SEBA HSLC Routine 2024 Overview

Assam HSLC exam 2024 will begin from Feb 16 and conclude on March 4, 2024 in pen and paper mode. The practical exams will held on Feb 3 and 4, 2024 at theory exam centers. SEBA has also announced that this time personalised OMR sheets will be given for answering objective-type questions which will carry 1 mark each in the Matric examination. Assam HSLC Routine 2024 will be released by the respective schools under the state board. Earlier,Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, confirmed that from the academic year 2024-25, there will be no board examinations for class 10th students. This decision has been made in alignment with the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). Himanta Biswa Sarma has also announced that Assam will get a single new education board constituted soon by the State Government. The SEBA HSLC exam 2024 will be held by the respective schools or the Academic Councils (district-level internal exam boards). According to the new arrangement, the pass/ fail assessments will be there for Assam class 10th exam 2024. Moreover, the students who have enrolled in class 10 will not have to apply for admission to class 11. Previously, the Assam Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) were responsible for conducting class 10 and 12 exams respectively. Assam SEBA HSLC Routine 2024: Changes Introduced

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has issued an official notice regarding the Assam matric examination 2024. As per the notice, the Assam HSLC Exam 2024 will be held from the 1st week of February 2024. The Board has also announced some modifications for the HSLC exam, implementing OMR sheets for the objective-type questions (50% of the total marks) which will carry 1 mark each in the core subjects i.e., English, General Mathematics, General Science and Social Science. The OMR sheets will be in the name of the candidates, i.e., these sheets will be personalised. Moreover, for the remaining 50% questions, separate answer sheets will be preovided with 16 pages. 

In addition to this, the state board has also issued the eligibility criteria for the students who are preparing for the HSLC examination 2024, which are as follows:

1. The students who appeared in Unit Test 1 (except for those who were unsuccessful in SEBA HSLC examination 2023) and are regularly attending classes and who will sit for the subsequent examinations like Unit Test II, Half Yearly examination and pre-board examination.
2. The students who were unsuccessful in the Assam HSLC exam 2023 and who are re-admitted in class 10 but could not undertake in Unit Test 1, have to attend the classes on a regular basis and also appear in the half-yearly examination, Unit Test II, and pre- board examination.

The steps to download Assam class 10 time table are added below.

• On the Home Page, look for the Notification section.
• Click on ‘Assam matric pariksha routine 2024.’
• Assam Date Sheet for Class 10th board exams 2024 will be displayed on the screen.
• Click on the download button.
• Assam HSLC routine 2024 will be downloaded in a pdf format.
• Save the pdf. Get the printout for further reference.

Assam SEBA HSLC Routine 2024: Exam Timings

Assam class 10 board exams will be conducted in two shifts: Morning Shift and Evening Shift. Both shifts will be followed as:

• The morning Shift will be from  9:00 am to 12:00 pm (3 hours)
• The evening Shift will be from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm (3 hours)
• Assam Class 10 board exams will be held for three hours. Although some exams can be conducted for a time span of two hours.

Assam SEBA HSLC Routine 2024: Exam Center

Students appearing for the Assam SEBA HSLC exam 2024 must note that from the academic year 2024, the board has decided to discontinue the Assam 10th board exam. Therefore, students will have to take their Assam HSLC exam 2024 at their respective school centers. 

Assam SEBA HSLC Routine 2024: Compartment Exam 

The Assam Board of Secondary Education will not conduct the Assam HSLC Compartment Exam 2024 as well. Last year, the Assam HSLC compartment exam routine was released on 10th June 2023 and the application procedure was available from 1st to 10th June 2023. Assam SEBA HSLC Routine 2024: Exam Day Instructions

Students are advised to solve the Assam HSLC Model Paper 2024 along with the Assam HSLC Previous Year Question Paper to ace their Assam SEBA exam 2024. • Students should carry their admit cards along with them to the examination center.
• No student will be allowed entry into the exam hall without the admit card.
• Students should reach the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the board examination.
• Students should not possess any kind of electronic devices while entering the examination hall.
• Students will be given 15 minutes to read the question paper. 
• Read the question paper thoroughly before the start of the paper.
