TS SSC Exam Pattern 2026: Telangana board follows a set exam pattern for all subjects. The students will have to appear for a theory exam of 80 marks and practical exam of 20 marks. For the theory exam, the board has finalized the exam pattern for Telugu, English, General Science, Physical Sciences, Biology, Social Studies, Mathematics, and more subjects. In the exam of each subject, there will be very short questions, short questions, and long questions. The marks will be allotted to each of the questions. According to the marking scheme, you can write answers for each question. The word limit of the answers can also be decided as per the marks of the questions. Overall, the exam pattern provides detailed knowledge of the types of questions, difficulty level of questions and number of questions. TS SSC Latest Updates 2026

  • Aug 12, 2025 - From this year, students will appear for 80 marks theory exams as the TS Board has decided to retain the internal assessment criteria of 20 marks. The detailed changes in the exam pattern or marking scheme will be shared soon on the official website of the board.

  • The total number of marks allotted to each paper is 100, with which the theory paper will contain 80 marks and the practical will contain 20 marks.
  • The minimum passing mark for each paper is 35.
  • There will be a total of eleven papers in these six subjects, and each subject will have two papers, except the second language paper.
  • Non-language Papers would have a maximum of 50 marks, with 40 marks allocated in the theory exam and the remaining 10 marks awarded as internal assessment. The marks distribution for all six papers is given below in the table:
