About UP Board 12th Exam Pattern 2025-26
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has decided to retain the UP Board 12th exam pattern 2026 as it was in the previous year. Students can check out the subject-wise exam pattern on the official website of the state board at upmsp.edu.in. The UPMSP class 12 exam pattern 2026 will include two sections in all the subjects; sections A and B. Section A will have 20 marks MCQs, while Section B will have 50 marks for short answer-type and long answer-type questions. A total of 100 marks is allotted for each subject and these marks are further divided into 30 marks for practical exams and 70 marks for theory exams in practical-based subjects. The non-practical subjects and the language papers will be conducted for 100 marks. Students need to score at least 33% in each subject and an aggregate score to clear the class 12th exam. Students must also download the latest UP Board 12th Syllabus 2025-26 or an easy and effective preparation for the exam.

UP Board 12th Exam Pattern 2025-26
Students must understand the exam pattern in detail to actively prepare for the exam according to the units covered in a subject and the chapters covered in every unit. Check the highlights regarding the exam pattern here:
- 100 marks will be allotted for every subject.
- For subjects like Mathematics and language papers, only one theory paper for 100 marks will be conducted and there will be no practical exam
- For subjects with practical knowledge such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, the theory paper will be conducted for 70 marks and the practical exam will be conducted for 30.
- Students will be provided 3 hours to complete the question paper.
- The question paper will consist of MCQs, very short answer type questions, short answer type questions, and long answer type questions.
- Students must get minimum passing marks separately in both theory and practical exams to be considered for the passing certificate.
