GSEB SSC Grading System 2022-23

GSEB Class 10 examination marking scheme is as follows:

  • Students must also go over the GSEB SSC Grading pattern to get a fair notion about how they will be marked in the GSEB Class 10 examinations.
  • Till 2010, a candidate’s percentage of total marks gained used to determine his or her rank. Since 2011, a percentile method has been implemented

Following are the steps to compute the percentile rank:

  • Step 1: Subtract the percentile from 100.
  • Step 2: The result is multiplied by the total number of students in that category who took the exam.
  • Step 3: In order to determine the rank, the number from Step 2 is divided by 100.

Instead of only ranking the top 10 candidates, this system assigns a rank to each candidate who took the exam. Focusing on the group instead of the individual evaluation of marks makes determining a candidate's chances of admission to graduate school easier.
