Odisha 10th Grading System 2024 is set by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. It is an eight-point scale that includes grades from ‘A1’ To ‘F’. Students scoring between 90% to 100% marks will be awarded with “A1'' grade, which is the highest grade. The students who score 33% or below marks will be provided with an “F” grade. This denotes the students will have to re-appear for the exam. Students must score at least 33% marks to pass the exam. The students who pass the exam will be able to collect the Odisha Class 10 Marksheet 2024 from respective schools.

The Board has decided to give marks in each subject and the total marks secured by a student in all the subjects will be calculated. Then, the grades would be awarded on the aggregate score of a student.

Odisha 10th Grading System 2024: Passing Marks
In Odisha Class 10 examinations, marks for clearing a single subject is 30%. Those who obtain less than 30% marks will be considered as failed candidates. They will have to appear for the Odisha BSE supplementary exam.
- Candidates securing a minimum of 30% of marks in each subject or group of subjects are declared passed.
- A candidate will be deemed to have passed the Third Division if they receive at least 33% but less than 45% of marks in aggregate.
- A student will be deemed to have passed the Second Division if they receive at least 45% but less than 60% of marks in aggregate.
- Securing at least 60% of marks shall be declared to have passed in the First Division.
Odisha 10th Grading System 2024: Revaluation Process
Since the Odisha Board introduced this new Odisha 10th Grading System, it also initiated the process of revaluation that same year. According to this scheme, if a student is not satisfied with their result, he/she can apply for the revaluation process. Students must make sure that they apply for the Revaluation process within 7 days of the Odisha HSC result declaration, as this is the time boundation as prescribed by the Board. The students also need to pay a fee of ₹700 to avail of the services of revaluation of the result. If the revaluation accounts for an increment of more than six marks, action will be taken against the evaluators. So this was all about the Odisha HSC Revaluation Process 2024.
Odisha 10th Grading System 2024: Compartment Exams
Despite securing 33% marks in the aggregate result, if a student fails to secure the minimum marks required to clear a subject i.e. 30% in one or more subjects will be allowed to provide the Odisha 10th Compartment exams 2024 in the failed subjects. A student can avail of a maximum of 3 consecutive chances to provide the Odisha 10th Compartmental exams 2024. The student can avail of this benefit to improve their scores and claim the Odisha HSC passing certificate.
The board will announce the Odisha 10th Compartment exam 2024 in May 2024 (tentative). The Odisha 10th Compartment exam will be conducted in July 2024 (tentative). The exam will be administered using the same syllabus as the main exam. Any notifications about the supplementary will be published on the official website by the board.
