Odisha 10th Grading System 2022

Odisha 10th Grading System 2022 also known as Odisha HSC (High School Certificate Examination) Grading System 2022, is put forward by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. BSE Odisha is responsible for all the academic undertaking for the matriculate and Intermediate standards of Odisha. The new grading system has been introduced lately. Earlier, BSE Odisha followed the marks system. Marks were given to the students on the basis of their performance in Odisha HSC Examinations.

It was in 2013 that the Odisha Board decided to abandon this division system and decided to introduce a new Grading system. The Odisha Board also made a unique reform in the Examination pattern. The number of objective questions or Optical Mark Recognition OMR) based questions was increased from 40 to 50. Odisha 10th Grading System 2022

Odisha 10th Grading System 2022 is a nine-point-grading-scale, with the highest letter grade as 'A1' and the lowest as 'F'. The Board uses this grading system to confer grades upon the students on the basis of their scores in the Odisha HSC examinations. Along with the grades, a grade value will also be indicated on the Student's report card. This grade value corresponds to the grade secured by them.

The Board has decided to give marks in each subject and the total marks secured by a student in all the subjects will be calculated. Then, the grades would be awarded on the aggregate score of a student. 

Odisha 10th Passing Marks 2022

As per the Odisha HSC Passing Criteria, the minimum marks required to clear a subject are 30%. The Odisha Board has also set the minimum passing marks on the aggregate score. To obtain the passing certificate, a student need to secure a minimum of 33% marks, which is equivalent to 198 out of 600, in addition to the 30% marks in each subject. In other words, a student securing 'D' or higher grade would be considered as Pass.

Odisha HSC Revaluation Process 2022

Since the Odisha Board introduced this new Odisha 10th Grading System, it also initiated the process of revaluation that same year. According to this scheme, if a student is not satisfied with their result, he/she can apply for the revaluation process. Students must make sure that they apply for the Revaluation process within 7 days of the Odisha HSC result declaration, as this is the time boundation as prescribed by the Board. The students also need to pay a fee of ₹700 to avail of the services of revaluation of the result. If the revaluation accounts for an increment of more than six marks, action will be taken against the evaluators. So this was all about the Odisha HSC Revaluation Process 2022

Odisha 10th Compartmental exams 2022

Despite securing 33% marks in the aggregate result, if a student fails to secure the minimum marks required to clear a subject i.e. 30% in one or more subjects will be given the opportunity to provide the Odisha 10th Compartmental exams 2022 in the failed subjects. A student can avail of a maximum of 3 consecutive chances to provide the Odisha 10th Compartmental exams 2022. The student can avail of this benefit to improve their scores and claim the Odisha HSC passing certificate.
