JAC 12th Provision For Grace Marks 2026
JKBOSE offers grace marks to help students who fail by a small margin. The provisions for grace marks are as follows:
- If a student fails in a subject by less than 5%, they will be awarded grace marks to pass the subject.
- If a student fails in two subjects by less than 3% in each, they will receive grace marks in both subjects.
- Students who do not qualify for grace marks under the above conditions but fall short by no more than five marks to secure a higher division will be awarded the minimum marks needed to attain the higher division. However, the final division will be determined by the student's original marks.

JAC 12th Compartment Exams 2026
If you fail to acquire the minimum passing marks, then you will be required to sit for the compartment exams. The compartment exams will be conducted in June or July 2026. You can fill out the application form for the compartment exam with the help of your teachers. The minimum passing marks for the compartment exams are also 33%, which are to be scored individually in theory and practical papers to pass. What happens if you fail the JAC 12th Exam?
