Maharashtra HSC Physics Blueprint 2026

The weightage of physics class 12 hsc 2026 provides the following information regarding the specifics of each question type and how their marks are distributed within each section:

  • Q 1 in Section A comprises 10 one-mark MCQ-type questions. There are no negative marks on any question.
  • Q.2 consists of 8 very short-answer type sub-questions carrying 1 mark each. The answers to these questions will include (70% theory and 30% numerical-based values.
  • In Section B, Q.3 to 14 are short-answer type questions, from which only 8 questions are to be answered. This part includes simple definitions, differentiation between two terms, and basic derivations.
  • Q.15 to 26 consists of short-answer type questions of 3 marks each. Only 8 questions need to be answered. Deriving expressions, creating mechanical diagrams, numerical wavelengths, etc. are examples of common question types.
  • Q. 27 to 31 consists of large answer-type questions and each question carries 4 marks. Only 3 questions have to be answered.
