TBSE HS Passing Marks Theory and Practical 2026 are 33%. You must score a minimum of 33% marks in both theory and practical exams conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education to pass. For subjects with no practical components, you are required to score the minimum passing marks in both theory and internal assessments. The theory papers will be conducted for 80 or 70 marks, depending on the nature of the subject. You are required to score at least 26 marks out of the total 80 and 23 marks out of 70 to pass successfully. In case you are not able to score the minimum passing marks, you will be required to sit for the compartment exams. TBSE 12th Compartment Exam Routine 2026 will be published after the result declaration.

TBSE 12th Result 2026 is expected to be announced on April 30, 2026. It will include information regarding the passing status. Out of the total 500 marks allotted to the curriculum, you are required to score at least 165 to pass. Only those of you who get the minimum passing marks will be eligible to get the marksheet and other important documents. TBSE HS Passing Criteria 2026

The passing criteria have been put forward by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education to be followed by all the students. You can refer to the information regarding the passing criteria from the pointers given below and use it to successfully pass the exams:

  • You are required to obtain at least 33% marks in each subject with an aggregate score of at least 165 marks out of the total 500 marks allotted to the curriculum.
  • You are required to obtain 33% marks separately in the written and internal papers in case there is no practical exam.
  • For the subjects with a practical component, you must score at least 33% marks in written as well as practical exams conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education.
  • If you secure minimum passing marks, that is 33% marks in the theory paper, but fail to secure the 33% marks in the practical paper or internal assessment, then you will be declared failed in that particular subject.
  • Similarly, if you fail to secure the minimum passing marks in the theory paper but have secured 33% marks in the practical paper, then you will be considered failed.

Both numerical numbers, as well as corresponding grades as indicated below, obtained by you in different subjects and also in the aggregate, shall be shown in the marksheet. TBSE HS Compartment Exams 2026

The supplementary exams will be conducted for those who are not able to get the minimum passing marks in the main exams. The supplementary exams are expected to be conducted in June or July 2026. The Tripura Board of School Education will release the information about the TBSE 12th Compartment Exam Routine 2026 online after the release of the main results. You can fill out the registration form for the compartment exam by visiting your respective school authorities. The minimum passing marks for the supplementary exams are also the same as the main exams. After the results are released, the updated marksheet will be distributed among the students accordingly.

You are required to score the minimum passing marks to successfully pass the exams. The passing criteria of the students will be reflected in their marksheet along with their pass certificate. Make sure that you collect your original documents by visiting your school premises as soon as possible.

You can score high marks in TBSE HS Science exams by preparing the syllabus well. How many marks do I need to score out of the total to pass TBSE HS Board 2026?

Out of the total 500 marks allotted to the curriculum, you are required to score at least 165 marks to pass TBSE HS Board 2026. Out of the total marks, the minimum passing marks for the students are 33% which are to be scored individually in all the subjects (theory and practical) and also in the total. 

What are the TBSE HS Passing Marks 2026 for internal assessments?

For subjects with internal assessments, the theory paper will be conducted for 80 marks and the internal assessments will be conducted for 20 marks. Out of the total 80 marks allotted to the theory papers, you are required to score 26. For the internal assessments, you are required to score at least 7 marks. 

What if I get an “E” grade in the TBSE HS Marksheet 2026?

If the students get an “E” grade in the TBSE HS Marksheet 2026, they will be required to sit for the compartment exams. The date sheet for the compartment exams will be released after the release of the results on the official website of TBSE.
