UP Board 12th Grading System 2024 consists of grades from A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D, E1, and E2. Students who score more than 90% marks in theory exams will be awarded with A1 grade. Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has adopted different grading systems for theory and practical exams. In practical exams, grades from A to E are available. In practicals, A grade is provided to the people who score more than 80% marks. Students can easily calculate their percentage by using the grading system put forward by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad. Students need to secure 33% marks in theory as well as in practical exams to be considered a “Pass”. Both in theory and practical exams, students are required to obtain at least a “D” grade to be considered a passing student. Failing to do so, students must sit for the compartment exam. UP Board 12th Grading System 2024

There are two different grading systems adopted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad to grade the students for theory and practical exams. Check the detailed information about the grading system for both the exams from the tables given below: 

UP Board 12th Grading System 2024: Theory 

The UP Board grading system includes nine grades according to the marks range. Students scoring between 91 to 100 marks will be provided with an A1 grade. The students scoring below 21 marks will be provided with the E2 grade. Grades E1 and E2 represent the fail status. To pass the exam, it is necessary to pursue a grade of D and above. The practical exams are conducted before the theory exams and hold a weightage of 30% in total scores. It is easy to score full marks in practical exams. UP Board 12th Grading System 2024: Calculate CGPA

CGPA Formula = Sum of grade points obtained in the subject/number of subjects.

• Students must note down the grade points for each subject through the grading scheme table.
• Add the grade points for all the subjects.
• Divide the calculated grade point by the number of subjects, and you will get the overall UP Board CGPA.

Hence, the overall UP board class 12 CGPA is ‘7’ and the grade is ‘B2’.

UP Board 12th Grading System 2024: Passing Marks Criteria

Students are required to score 33% marks separately in theory and practical exams to be considered “Pass”. Students must also get minimum passing marks in every subject included in the curriculum to get their marksheets and other certificates successfully. 

UP Board 12th Grading System 2024: Re-Evaluation

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad provides an option to the students through which they can apply for revaluation of their answer sheets if they are not satisfied with the number of marks that they have achieved in their results. The scrutiny application form will be made available only on the official website of UPMSP to be filled by the students accordingly. A particular amount of application fees is also to be submitted by the students to successfully apply for scrutiny. The revaluation result will be published on the official website to be checked just like the initial UP 12th Board Result. After scrutiny, no new applications will be entertained by UPMSP regarding the revaluation or rechecking. 

UP Board 12th Grading System 2024: Compartment Exams 

Students can apply for compartment exams if they fail to achieve the minimum passing marks in the board exams. Students are required to score 33% marks in the board exams to be considered Qualified however if they fail to do so they can apply for compartment exams. The application form for the compartment exams will be filled out online. Students can take the help of their school staff to fill out the compartment exam application form within the deadline specified by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad. The information about the UP Board 12th Compartment Exam Date 2024 will be available after the result declaration. 

Once the compartment exams are concluded by UPMSP, the results for the compartment exam will be released accordingly. Students must check their UP Board 12th Compartment Result 2024 to see whether or not they qualified this time around. If the students got minimum passing marks in the compartment exam, they will be issued a new and updated marksheet through their school premises. It is important to collect the updated marksheet because it will be required by the students to be submitted during College admission. The compartment marksheet will hold the same value as the initial marksheet.

UP Board 12th Grading System 2024: Grace Marks 

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has adopted a grace marks policy that will benefit the students in numerous ways to pass the board exams effortlessly. Check the details here: 

• Students are liable to get grace marks in one or two subjects only. 
• Students will be provided grace marks if they fail to pass a subject with two or fewer marks. 

Students are provided grades according to the number of marks that they have secured in the different subjects included in their curriculum.
