The Odisha Plus 2 class grading system consists of nine points. The highest score is A, while the lowest score is F. The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has fixed the minimum passing criteria at 30% for all streams, including Science, Commerce, Arts, and Vocational courses. In theory-based subjects, students must secure at least 24 marks out of 80, which equals 30%, while the remaining 20 marks are awarded through internal assessments conducted by schools. Subjects such as Mathematics, Accountancy, and History fall under this category. For subjects with practical components, candidates are required to score a minimum of 21 out of 70 in theory and 9 out of 30 in practicals, maintaining 30% separately in both papers. These include subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and Psychology. In vocational subjects, students must obtain at least 12 marks out of 40 in theory and 18 marks out of 60 in practicals to pass the examination.

Odisha CHSE Class 12th Revaluation 2026
The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, will release the CHSE Odisha class 12 science, commerce, and arts theory re-checking and re-addition results in June 2026, tentatively. Students who will not be satisfied with their marks in the CHSE Odisha Class 12th exam can apply for revaluation or re-totaling of their marks. Students can apply for the CHSE Odisha 12th revaluation online or through their school with an application fee of INR 200 per subject.
