RBSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2023-24: The Board of School Education, Ajmer, Rajasthan issued the RBSE Class 12 English Syllabus for the academic session 2023-24 on its official website at rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. The RBSE Class 12 English is one of the compulsory subjects for all three streams, Arts, Science, and Commerce. The syllabus is divided into 3 sections, Section A, Section B, and Section C. Section A will carry 15 marks, Section B will carry 23 marks, while 42 marks will be there in Section C. The maximum marks for BSER Class 12 English paper 2024 will be 100, out of which 80 marks will be allotted for the theory exam, and 20 marks will be sessional. The RBSE Class 12 English exam 2024 will be conducted for 3 hours and 15 minutes.

SECTION A
1. Reading (Passages for comprehension) 15
Two unseen passages (about 700-900 words in all)
The passages will include two of the following—
(a) Factual passages e.g. instructions, descriptions, reports.
(b) Discursive passage involving opinion e.g. argumentative, persuasive or interpretative text.
(c) Literary passage e.g. extract from fiction, drama, poetry, essay or biography.

The letters will include the following—
(a) Business or Official Letters (for making enquiries, registering complaints, asking for and giving information, placing order,s and sending replies).
(b) Letters to the editor on various social, national and international issues.
(c) Application for a job including CV (Curriculum Vitae)/Resume.
3. Grammar 8
- Clauses (Noun Clauses, Adverb Clauses, Relative Clauses) 2

(ii) One out of two Long Answer Type Questions based on the text to test global comprehension to be answered in about 60 words. 04

RBSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2023-24: Prescribed Books
