Students need to secure passing marks to clear the Kerala 12th Board Exam 2022. As per the guidelines issued by KPBE, the performance of a student in the Kerala +2 board exams is evaluated and highlighted in terms of marks or grades.

Kerala Plus 2 Grading System

Kerala +2 Grading system assesses the performance of the students on the basis of a seven-point-scale grading system, with A+ as the highest parameter while D is the lowest. The tabulated criteria to grade the students corresponding to the marks obtained, are given below:

Kerala Plus 2 Passing Criteria 2022

Kerala +2 Board students need to score at least 30% Marks in a subject, which is equivalent to Grade D, to pass the Kerala 12th Board Examinations 2022. The Overall passing score is also 30%.

There are a total of 5 subjects, out of which 4 are elective subjects while there is one language subject. The language subject comprises 100 marks while the elective papers are divided into two parts: 70 marks for the theory paper and 30 marks for its practical examination.

Students who fail to secure the minimum passing marks in Kerala +2 Board Exams. For such students, Kerala Board provides the facility of compartment exam, also known as SAY i.e. Save a Year exam. These Students can appear in the compartment exam and improve their results.
