ISC Class 12 Improvement Exam 2024: CISCE has announced the cancellation of compartment exams from 2024. In place of compartment exams, the board is going to introduce the re-evaluation process of answer scripts in addition to the existing rechecking process. According to National Education Policy 2020, the board will only allow students to sit for improvement exams of two subjects.
A meeting was held on December 7, 2023 where the Executive Committee decided to change the procedure. As per the decision, students will get the option to get the answer scripts re-evaluated in addition to the rechecking of exams. Students will now be allowed to appear for improvement exams of two subjects. For each of the subjects, students will have to pay a fee of Rs. 500 for improvement exams.
ISC Class 12 Improvement: Re-Checking
The rechecking of the subject grade will be done on request. It can only be done online by the School Head. After the declaration of result, the rechecking request can be submitted within 4 days. Students will have to pay a fee of Rs.1000 per subject. In the rechecking, following points will be considered:
- If all answers are marked
- Continuation sheets attached to the answer script
- If there is a mistake in totalling of marks in each subject and transferring marks correctly on the first page
ISC Class 12 Improvement: Re-evaluation
The students who are not satisfied with the rechecking result will be able to apply for re-evaluation of the answer scripts. The request for re-evaluation can be made only within 24 hours after the release of notification. For re-evaluation, students will have to pay a fee of Rs. 1500 per subject. The result for re-evaluation will be announced within three weeks. Students will be able to check the result on the official website. Also Read - ISC Grading System 2024
Moreover, the re-evaluation of the answer scripts will be done by a qualified professional hired by the Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE. After the completion of this process, the marks obtained by students will be considered final. Also Read - ISC 12th Board 2024

ISC Class 12 Improvement Exam 2023: Statistics
Below are key data for the ISC improvement exams that students can find useful. View the exam data to acquire a general understanding of the improvement exam for the previous year.- A total of 3129 Scheduled Caste (SC) students took the test, with a 94.44% passing rate.
- A total of 2982 Scheduled Tribe (ST) students took the ISC exam, with a 91.95% passing rate.
- The test was taken by 10967 pupils from Other Backward Classes (OBC), and they passed with a 96.30% passing rate.
- There were 143 exceptional instances, including dyslexia (13 children scored above 90%).
- There were 12 visually impaired students (12 pupils with scores above 90%), and 0 students who took their exams in hospitals.
- The central evaluation of the ISC examination answer sheets was successfully carried out by the Council for the ninth consecutive year.
