Karnataka 2nd PUC Marking Scheme 2026

KSEAB has introduced certain changes wherein the non-practical subjects, it will consider 20 marks as internal in the first and second PUC from the academic year 2023-24. As per these changes, respective teachers will record 20 marks to evaluate the students. Students will be given 10 points for internal evaluation depending on the first and second unit tests and the midterm exam. From these exams, the best of the two marks will be averaged to 10 points.   • 3 marks - presentation
  • 2 marks - viva voce.

There will be 20 internal marks for the core subjects like Maths, Business Studies, Economics, languages, and other core subjects. For the subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, electronics, computer science, home science, Carnatic music, Hindustani music, and national skills qualification framework subjects like IT, automobile, retail, beauty and wellness, (70+30) will continue. This applies to the 1st and 2nd PUC regular students from the 2023-24 academic year. However, private students and repeaters will have to answer a 100-mark question paper.
