Karnataka 10th, 12th Board 2024: Supplementary Exams
The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has announced significant changes to the Class X and XII examination system. The supplementary examination concept has been removed, and from the academic year 2023-24, annual exams will be conducted thrice a year. The new system will provide three opportunities for students to improve their overall performance and attitude. The supplementary examination will be replaced by annual examinations 1, 2, and 3. The three-annual exam system will be implemented from March/April 2024. Under the new system, students will no longer have the option of a supplementary exam. Instead, they can take up the second and third annual exams to improve their marks if they are not satisfied with their performance in the first exam.
Regular students are required to appear for Exam 1, while repeater and private candidates can take Exam 2 and Exam 3. Even if students write the same subjects in different exams, only the scores from the best of the three exams will be used while issuing the final marksheet. It's important to mention that there will be no indication of the exam taken on the marks card.
