Maharashtra SSC Practical Exam Syllabus 2026: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will release the Maharashtra Board 10th practical Syllabus for the academic session 2025-26.
The board will release the subject-wise MSBSHSE 10th practical syllabus 2026 online on its website at mahasscboard.in as PDF files. The class 10th practical exams will be mainly held for the Science, Social Science, Information Communication & Technology, and vocational courses. The state board will conduct the Maharashtra SSC practical exams for 20 marks, and the remaining 80 marks will be allotted for the theory exam.
The Maharashtra SSC practical exams 2026 will be conducted between the first and third week of February 2026 tentatively. The Maharashtra SSC Practical Exams for 2025 will be conducted at the respective schools. For the Maharashtra SSC Practical Exam 2026, you need to score a minimum of 35% in each subject, including the practical exams. This means that for the practical-based subjects, like Science and Mathematics, you need to score at least 35% where the theory and practical marks are combined. Which subjects have practical exams in Maharashtra SSC?
Practical exams are an important part of the Maharashtra SSC exam that will allow the students to showcase their practical skills and apply theoretical knowledge. You will have to appear for 5 subjects in total in the Maharashtra SSC exam 2026. The maximum marks in all the subjects are 100, where 80 marks are allotted for the written exam and the remaining 20 marks for the internal assessments. The practical exams are held for a few subjects like Science, Mathematics, Social Science (Geography), Information Communication & Technology and other vocational subjects. The Maharashtra SSC Science Practical Exam Syllabus 2026 is as follows:LIST OF EXPERIMENTS
1. To find the pH of the following samples by using pH paper and a universal indicator. i) Dilute Hydrochloric acid ii) Dilute NaOH solution iii) Dilute Ethanoic acid solution iv) Lemon juice. v) Water vi) Dilute Sodium Bicarbonate Solution.
2. To study the properties of acids and bases HCl & NaOH by their reaction with i) ii) Litmus solution (Blue/Red) Zinc metal iii) Solid Sodium Carbonate
3. To determine the focal length of a) Concave mirror b) Convex lens by obtaining the image of a distant object.
4. To trace the path of a ray of light passing through a rectangular glass slab for different angles of incidence. Measure the angle of incidence, angle of refraction, and angle of emergence, and interpret the result.
5. To study the dependence of current (I) on the potential difference (V) across a resistor and determine its resistance. Also plot a graph between V and I.
6. To determine the equivalent resistance of two resistors when connected in series.
7. To determine the equivalent resistance of two resistors when connected in parallel.
8. To prepare a temporary mount of a leaf peel to show stomata.
9. To show experimentally that light is necessary for photosynthesis.
10. To show experimentally that carbon dioxide is given out during respiration.
11. To study (a) binary fission in Amoeba and (b) budding in yeast with the help of prepared slides.
12. To determine the percentage of water absorbed by raisins.
13. To perform and observe the following reactions and classify them into

Maharashtra SSC Practical Exam Syllabus 2026 for Social Science
The Maharashtra SSC Social science Syllabus 2026 has two parts: Part I (History and Political science), and Part II (Geography and Economics). You need to undertake some internal works in Political science. The details will be shared by the respective schools. On the other hand, there will be some practical work in Geography. The units from which practicals will be conducted are- Unit 8: Practical - 8.1 Cartography

The Maharashtra SSC Practical Exam Syllabus 2026 for Information Communication & Technology is as follows:- Introduction to e-mail access using e-mail client software such as Outlook or Windows Mail.
- Introduction to Instant Messaging using MSN Messenger/Yahoo! Messenger.
- Creation of a simple document using Word processor in an Indian Language (Marathi or Hindi) making use of an Unicode font.
- Creation of presentation using sounds and animation.
- Creation of a spreadsheet making use of values linked using formulas.
- Introduction to Chat.
- Introduction to video conferencing using Skype
- Creation of short audiovisual content (not exceeding 2 minutes) using a webcam or digital camera with video recording facility. Copying and viewing the same on a PC.
- Uploading a short video to a free online streaming video service such as YouTube.
- Practical 1 on Geogebra.
- Practical 2 on Geogebra.
- Practical 3 on Geogebra
How are Maharashtra SSC Practical Exam Conducted?
Maharashtra SSC practical exams are generally conducted before the theory exam, in February. Respective schools usually conduct the practical exams. External examiners may be appointed for a few subjects. The board will appoint the external examiners; schools are not responsible for that. The exams cover subjects like Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Computer Science, and vocational courses. You will be assessed on your ability to perform experiments, accuracy of results, and understanding demonstrated during a viva voce.It is to be noted that the marks that you will obtain in the practical exams/internal assessments will be added to your overall marks in the final exam.
