UP Board Class 10 Practical Exam Syllabus 2026 is provided by the board on the official website at upmsp.edu.in. Overall, there are 6 subjects worth 100 marks each. All the subjects are divided into theory and internal assessment or project work. For the Science subject, you will have to appear for a practical exam. Which subjects include practical exams in UP Board Class 10?

Among all the subjects in the UP Board Class 10, Science subject includes a practical exam. You can check out the detailed syllabus in order to prepare for the practical exam. For other subjects, the board will conduct internal assessments. It will be necessary for students to appear for the theory exam as well as internal assessment, and score the passing marks too.

UP Board Class 10 Science Practical Exam Syllabus 2026

UP Board Class 10 Science will include a project and experiment. The experiments will be conducted within the schools and the evaluation will be done at an internal level. You will be provided with marks on the basis of performance. The experiment will be of 11 marks and 9 marks will be allotted to the project work.   • Three experiments of 2 marks each will be conducted.
  • Verbal test will be conducted for 2 marks
  • 3 marks will be given for session work

List of experiments

  1. Using pH paper/Universal indicator, determine the pH of the following samples:
  • Dilute HCl
  • Dilute NaOH solution
  • Dilute ethanoic and solution
  • Lemon juice
  • Water
  • Dilute sodium bicarbonate solution

Study of the properties of acids and bases by reacting HCl and NaOH with the following:

  • Litmus solution (blue/red)
  • Zinc metal
  • Solid sodium carbonate
  1. Perform and observe the following reactions and classify them into the following categories
  • Combination reaction
  • Decomposition reaction
  • Displacement reaction
  • Bidisplacement reaction
    • Action of water in lime water
    • Process of heating ferrous sulphate crystals
    • On putting a loud nail in sopper sulphate solution
    • Reaction between sodium sulphate and barium

Or

  1. Observe the reactions of Zn, Fe, Cu and Al metals with the following salt solutions
  • ZnSo4(aq)
  • FeSo4(aq)
  • CuSo4(aq)
  • Al2(So4)3(aq)

On the basis of the above obtained date, arrange Z,=n, Fe, Cu and Al metals in decreasing order according to the value of order of reactivity.

  1. To study the dependence of potential difference on current flowing through a resistor and to find the resistor and to show a graph between
  2. To find the equivalent resistance combination of resistors in series and parallel.
  3. Preparation of temporary slides of stomata in leaves.
  4. To demonstrate experimentally the process of release of carbon dioxide during respiration.
  5. To study the following properties of acetic acid (ethanoic acid)

  • Solubility in water
  • Effect on litmus
  • Reaction with sodium hydrogen carbonate
  1. To do a comparative study of the clarification of soap samples in soft and hard water.
  2. To find the local length of

Detecting the image of a distant object.

  1. Find the path of a ray of light passing through a rectangular slab of glass for different angles of incidence, angle of refraction, angle of emergence and evaluate the result.
  2. With the help of prepared slides, study (a) Fission in Amoeba (b) Bussing in Yeast.
  3. Tracing the path of light rays through a prism.
  4. To study the different parts of the embryo of a dicotyledon (pea, gram, kidney bean, beans).

List of Project work

Note: Students should prepare any three projects from the given project list. It will be mandatory to prepare one project work and project file from each section (Physics, Chemistry and biology). Teachers can also give other works related to the subject at their own level. The evaluation of all three projects will be done internally at school.

To study pH value and colour change in acidic and alkaline solutions of the following natural products using pH paper/universal indicator:-
  • Lemon juice
  • Beetroot juice
  • Cabbage juice
  • Boiled pea water
  • Rose water
  • Petal juice
By creating a chemical garden
  • (Glass jar, sand water glass solution, copper sulphate, cobalt sulphate or manganese sulphate crystals)
  • Make experimental observations of the heat generated in various acid-base neutralization reactions.
  • To do comparative study (Beaker, measuring cups, thermometers, molar solutions of acids and bases, plastic, notebooks, cups, etc)

  • To prepare a model of an electric bell and study the scientific principles involved.
Making a model of Kaleidocope
  • To list the personalities of famous Indian scientists and their contributions to science and study them in detail.
  • Prepare a model of electrical quiz board giving the diagram of the required circuit.
  • Illustrated study of the role of science in entertainment.
  • Examine and tabulate the changes in the nature, position and size of the image formed by mirrors and lenses.
  • Study the various parts (sepals, petals, androecium, gynoecium) of a bisexual flower like hibsicus and mustard and to obtain information about pollination in it.
  • Making a model of the human heart structure.
  • Study the structure and germination of seeds with the help of beans and maize (soaked).
  • Prepare a herbaria by collecting different types of plants.
  • Growing plants without soil - Preparation of a report based on experiments and observations.
  • Study of air pollution caused by petrol and diesel and use of CNG to reduce it.
  • Importance of plastic and polythene in daily life and role in environmental pollution. Pictorial study of the causes and harmful of effects of increasing noise in your city.
