The BSEB 12th Sociology exam pattern 2026 is divided into two parts, 50% objective questions and 50% subjective questions, totaling 100 marks. The 50 marks objective questions (MCQs) will have 60 MCQs carrying 1 mark each where students have to attempt 50. While the subjective section consists of 30-mark short answer questions, typically 6 questions of 5 marks each, and 20-mark long answer questions, usually 4 questions of 5 marks each. Bihar Board Class 12 Sociology Question Paper Pattern 2025-26
The theory paper for Sociology will be conducted for 100 marks. There will be no practical section included in the curriculum according to BSEB. Students can refer to the information about the question paper pattern from the pointers given below:
- The duration of the question paper will be three hours.
- The total marks allotted for the question paper will be 100.
- The question paper will be divided into two parts.
- In Section A, there are 100 objective-type questions, out of which 50 questions are to be answered. If more than 50 questions are answered, then only the first 50 will be evaluated. Each question carries 1 mark
- In Section B, there are 30 short answer-type questions. Each carries 2 marks, out of which any 15 questions are to be answered. Apart from this, there are 8 Long answer-type questions. Each question carries 5 marks, out of which any 4 questions are to be answered.
