Bihar Board Passing Marks for Class 10 2024: Students require 30% marks in every subject in BSEB 10th Board to be successfully considered “Pass”. The minimum passing score is required in both theory and practical exams. BSEB 10th Board 2024 will be conducted for a total of 500 marks. The students are required to score at least 150 marks to successfully go to class 11th. The passing certificate will be distributed by the Bihar School Examination Board only after the students achieve 30% marks in all subjects. There are a total of 5 main subjects included in the curriculum.
Those students who fail to achieve 30% marks in a subject will have to appear for the compartment exam in that specific subject. The Bihar Board 10th Result 2024 published by BSEB will include information about the division that the students have achieved in the board exam. There are three divisions available as per the grading system followed by BSEB. Students who fail to achieve a passing division in more than four subjects will have to appear for the board exams in the next academic year. Bihar Board Passing Marks for Class 10 2024 - Theory and Practical: Passing Criteria
A specific passing criteria is followed by the Bihar School Examination Board to forward the students to the next class.
- Students are required to obtain 30% marks in both practical and theory exams for each subject to be considered “Pass.”
- If the students obtain 30% marks in every subject then their aggregate total will be 150 out of the total 500 marks allotted in the curriculum.
- If the students score 150 marks out of the total 500 but in one or two subjects they have not scored 30% marks then they will have to appear for Bihar Board 10th Compartment Exam 2024 for those specific subjects.
- Students who have scored less than 30% marks in 4 or more subjects will have to appear for the board exams in the next academic year and they will not be eligible to take the compartment exam.
Bihar Board Passing Marks for Class 10 2024 Theory
Students are required to score a minimum of 30% marks in every subject to successfully pass the board exam. Check the subject-wise passing marks from the table given below:

Bihar Board Passing Marks for Class 10 2024 Practicals
Practical exams will be conducted by BSEB for the subjects that need practical knowledge. Students are required to obtain a minimum passing percentage in the practical exams to be declared “Pass” in that subject accordingly.
- Students must obtain a minimum of 30% marks in their practical exams along with their theory exams to be considered “Pass”
Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2024
A division system is followed by BSEB to grade the students based on their marks. There are a total of three divisions available out of which the first division is the highest division that the students can achieve. Students can refer to the Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2024 from the table given below:

Bihar Board Passing Marks for Class 10 2024: Toppers
Students who achieve at least 488 marks out of the total 500 marks included in the class 10th curriculum will be considered to be among the toppers. Since the Bihar Board 10th Topper List 2024 is not yet available, below is the table indicating the marks for the toppers from last year:
