CBSE Class 12 History Deleted Syllabus 2025-26 are the chapters that are excluded from the syllabus. The deleted syllabus was updated by the Central Board of Secondary Education. According to the changes made by CBSE, the following units have been modified in the syllabus: The Mughal Court: Reconstructing Histories through Chronicles, Colonialism and Rural Society: Evidence from Official Reports, Colonialism & Indian Towns: Town Plans and Municipal Reports, and Partition through Oral Sources. For some units, the entire topics have been eliminated; however, for others, a few portions have been edited. You can find the updated CBSE Class 12 History Syllabus 2025-26 on the official website of CBSE Academic to be downloaded in a PDF format to learn about the curriculum.

This modifications have been made to reduce the syllabus by about 30%, focusing more on observation-based study and analytical skills following the New Education Policy 2020. The theory paper of the CBSE 12th History exam 2026 remains for 80 marks, divided into three units (Themes in Indian History Parts I, II, III) plus 5 marks for map work.
