CBSE Class 12 Blueprint 2026 guides you about the marking scheme followed by the board. As per the blueprint set by the board, the weightage of competency-based questions is increased by 10%. Now, you will find 50% multiple-choice questions. On the other hand, the short-answer or long-answer type questions are reduced from 40% to 30%. In addition, the select response type questions (MCQ) will be 20%. For each subject, the theory exam will be of 70 marks and the practical exam will be of 30 marks.
