The very first section of the question paper includes MCQs along with some one-word answers. Each question will carry one mark. You are required to answer all the questions since there are no internal choices available in this section. Refer to some important questions for one mark for Maharashtra SSC Mathematics below:

Question 1: For simultaneous equations in variables x and y, if Dx = 49, Dy = -63, D = 7, then what is the value of x?

Question 3: Write the ratio of the second quantity to the first quantity in the reduced form: 5 dozen pens, 120 pens.

Question 4: Sangeeta’s monthly income is ` 25,000. She spent 90% of her income and donated 3% to socially useful causes. How much money did she save?

Question 5: For the given A.P. a = 3.5, d = 0, then tn =___________

(B) 3.5

Question 6: To draw a graph of 4x + 5y = 19, find y when x = 1.

Question 7: The ratio of corresponding sides of similar triangles is 3:5, then find the ratio of their areas.

Maharashtra SSC Math Important Questions 2026 of 2 Marks

The very next section of the question paper will include very short answer-type questions for 2 marks each. There will be a total of 4 questions in this section, out of which you need to answer only 2. Make sure to read the instructions very carefully before answering and draw graphs and diagrams wherever necessary. Check some important questions for 2 marks below:

Question 1: A card is drawn from a well-shuffled pack of 52 playing cards. Find the probability of the event, the card drawn is a red card.

In the figure given above, O is the centre of the circle, seg PS is a tangent segment, and S is the point of contact. Line PR is a secant. If PQ = 3.6, QR = 6.4, find PS.

Question 3: Find the slope of a line passing through the points A(3, 1) and B(5, 3).

Question 4: Complete the following activity to determine the nature of the roots of the quadratic equation x2 + 2x - 9 = 0

Question 5: A two-digit number is formed with digits 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 without repetition. What is the probability that the number formed is an odd number?

Question 6: Draw a circle of radius 3.2 cm and centre O. Take any point P on it. Draw a tangent to the circle through point P using the centre of the circle.

Maharashtra SSC Math Important Questions 2026 of 3 Marks

Question 2: Shri Shantilal has purchased 150 shares of FV ₹100, for MV of 120. The company has paid a dividend of 7%. To find the rate of return on its investment, complete the following activity:

Question 3: ???? ABC ~???? PQR. In ???? ABC, AB = 5.4 cm, BC = 4.2 cm, AC = 6.0 cm, AB: PQ = 3:2, then construct ???? AВС and ???? PQR.

Question 4: Solve the following simultaneous equations using Cramer's rule :

4m + 6n = 54; 3m + 2n = 28

Question 5: When an observer at a distance of 12 m from a tree looks at the top of the tree, the angle of elevation is 60. What is the height of the tree?

Question 6: A two-digit number is to be formed using the digits 0, 1, 2, 3. Repetition of the digits is allowed. Find the probability that a number so formed is a prime number.

Question 7: A metal cuboid of measures 16 cm × 11 cm x 10 cm was melted to make coins. How many coins were made, if the thickness and diameter of each coin were 2 mm and 2 cm, respectively?

Maharashtra SSC Math Important Questions 2026 of 4 Marks

In the very last section of the question paper, you will find long-answer type questions for 4 marks each. You are required to answer the questions according to the instructions printed at the very top of the question paper. Internal choices will be available in this section. Refer to some important questions given below:

Question 1: In ????ABC, PQ is a line segment intersecting AB at P and AC at Q such that seg PQ||seg BC. If PQ divides ???? ABC into two equal parts having equal areas, find BP/AB.

Question 2: One person borrows 4,000 and agrees to repay with a total interest of 500 in 10 instalments. Each instalment is less than the preceding instalment by ₹10. What should be the first and the last instalments?

Question 3: If the 9th term of an A.P. is zero, then prove that the 29th term is double the 19th term.

Question 4:

Question 5: Two taps together can fill a tank in 3 1/13 minutes. The smaller tap takes 3 minutes more than the bigger tap to fill the tank. How much time does each tap take to fill the tank?

Question 6: Draw a circle of radius 2.7 cm and draw a chord PQ of length 4.5 cm. Draw tangents at points P and Q without using the centre.
