About Manipur Board

The Board of Secondary Education was established in 1972 by the Manipur Legislative Assembly Act. It is responsible for all academic activities, and over 786 high and higher secondary schools are registered with the MBSE. There are 226 government schools, 103 government-aided, and 457 private schools. The Manipur board is responsible for preparing the syllabus, printing, and distributing textbooks for classes Ist to Xth. BSEM annually conducts the board exams for class Xth. Around 35-40 thousand students yearly appear for the Manipur Board exams.

Under the provisions of the Manipur Higher Secondary Act, 1992, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, was set up in 1992. Before its establishment, the Class 12 board exams were managed by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur. After COHSEM established the +2 courses of BSEM, Manipur University was merged into the higher secondary courses under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur. About Manipur Class 10th

Manipur HSLC Board 2026 is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur. The exams will be conducted in March 2026 according to the previous year's timeline and the date sheet for the same will be released in January 2026. All the information related to the HSLC board exams will be available online at bsem.nic.in. Before the board exams are conducted, the admit card will be released by the board authorities to be distributed among the students. It contains important information regarding the exam day and the rules and regulations that are to be followed by the students during the board exam.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, will conduct the Manipur 12th Board 2026 every year. Manipur Board Exam 2026 for class 12th will be held from February 17 to March 20, 2026. The date sheet was released on December 9, 2025. The full time table is available in a PDF format on the official website at cohsem.nic.in. The practical exams will be conducted from January 2nd to January 31st. The exams will be held in a single shift, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, the exam timings may vary for a few subjects based on the official board norms. COHSEM will issue the admit card in February 2026, distribute it among the students via their respective schools. The question papers are set according to the syllabus. Students can check the board's official website to download the syllabus in PDF format. In addition, they can also get the previous year's question papers to practice and score more. The results will be declared in May/June 2026.

Manipur Class 10, 12 Exam Pattern 2026

As per the Manipur HSLC Exam Pattern 2026 , 5 chapters are included in the curriculum which includes two language papers and three compulsory subjects. The compulsory subjects include mathematics, social science, and science. One paper will be conducted for all the subjects included in the curriculum and a total of 100 marks are provided for every subject. For subjects like mathematics and social science, theory paper will be conducted for 90 marks and 10 marks will be provided for the practical exam. Students are required to get 33% marks in all the subjects to be eligible for the passing certificate.

According to the Manipur Class 12 Exam Pattern 2026 , the study subjects include English, any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Alternative English, and three Elective subjects from any one of the following three streams. 100 marks are provided for every subject included in the curriculum according to the current scheme. For theory papers carrying maximum marks of 50 and 40/30, the time allotted shall be 2(two) hours 30 minutes and 2(two) hours respectively. For practicals, the allotted time shall be of 3 (three) hours.

Manipur Class 10, 12 Admit Card 2026

Manipur HSLC Admit Card 2026 and Manipur Board 12th Admit Card 2026 will be released in February 2026. It will be released for regular and private students. The schools will hand over the admit cards to the regular students. To get the admit cards for students, schools will have to enter their affiliation number as User ID and password. The private students will have to download the admit cards from the official websites of the state board.

After collecting the admit card, students must ensure that the admit card has their respective school's stamp and the Principal's signature. The Admit Card is an important document for students appearing for board exams. They will have to carry it on each day of their examination as without it; they will not be permitted to sit for the exam. The admit card includes all the required details, such as the student's name, date of birth, name of the examination center, subject name, subject codes, date, and timing of the exam.

Manipur Class 10, 12 Result 2026

Manipur HSLC Result 2026 and Manipur Class 12 Result 2026 will be separately announced by BSEM and COHSEM, respectively. The link for the result will be activated on the official website of BSEM and COHSEM. Students can visit the official portal and check the results using their roll numbers. COHSEM will release the class 12 results in the third week of May 2026. The Manipur HSLC result 2026 will be released in mid-June 2026. The results will enlist the student’s marks secured and personal details.

It must be noted that the online result will be provisional. Students must collect the original certificates a few days after the result declaration from the respective schools. For the same, students must connect with their school authorities after the publication of the result. Along with the results, the BSEM and COHSEM will also release a toppers list for the top 25 rank holders and a subject-wise toppers list.

Manipur Class 10, 12 Passing Marks 2026
