About Manipur Board

Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur is responsible for conducting the board exams for Class 12. The board manages and regulates the exam pattern, result and entire matters related to the school education in the state of Manipur. THe board is responsible for formulating the syllabus, preparing and distributing the textbooks, developing the evaluation techniques, conducting examinations, and preparing tabulation of marks to evaluate students’ performances. The board organizes the class 12th exams for the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams.

Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur was established in 1992. Under the provision of the Manipur Higher Secondary Act, 1992, the board was set up. For the first time, COHSEM conducted the board examination in 1993.

Manipur 12th Board Date Sheet 2023-24

Every year, the board releases the date sheet online. The date sheet is provided on the official website in the PDF format. Students can visit the online website and download the date sheet. It is expected that the board will conduct the Manipur Board 12th exams 2024 in February and March 2024. The exam is conducted in offline mode in the morning shift from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Manipur 12th Board Exam Pattern

COHSEM provides the MBSE HSSLC exam pattern for class 12. The MBSE 12th subjects include theory as well as practical exams for all subjects of Science, Arts, and Commerce. Students from all streams have to give exams for five subjects in total. This includes one language paper and one elective. Depending on their choices, they can select any language (English will be mandatory) or vocational paper for their fifth or sixth subject. For all subjects, students will get a duration of 3 hours to solve the paper. Each paper is worth 100 marks. The students need at least 33% minimum marks to pass the Manipur 12th Board exams. The subjects that have practical exams too are evaluated for 70 marks in theory. The practical exams are conducted for 30 marks. Some subjects are also split into 90 and 10 marks. The practical exams consist of 10 marks. The total marks will be calculated by adding the marks secured in both the theory and practical exams.

• Allot Equal Time for Each of the Subjects: According to the syllabus, you must divide time for each of the subjects. Ensure you do not dedicate the full day to a simple subject. This will increase your confidence and speed to cover up the entire syllabus.
• Make a Strategy for Long Answers: Students often find it difficult to learn long answers. In such a case, it would be wise to divide the answers in parts and understand the concept. This will help in managing paragraphs and writing lengthy answers easily.
• Avoid Distractions: It is utmost important to keep yourself away from social media and television shows. Such things can easily distract you from studies.
