Mizoram HSLC Grading System 2026 has been classified by the Mizoram Board of School Education in the new scheme of examinations. A division system will be followed to grade the students according to their marks. The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) follows a clear and transparent grading system to assess student performance in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination. This system helps students understand their academic position while motivating them to perform better through defined achievement categories. MBSE uses a grading scale from A1 to F, and to pass the MBSE HSLC Exam 2026, students must secure at least 33% marks separately in theory and practical components of each subject, along with a minimum of 33% in aggregate. Candidates scoring above 75% are awarded distinction, those with 60% to 75% are placed in the first division, 50% to 59% in the second division, and 33% to 49% in the third division. Students must score 33% marks in every theory paper and separately in every practical paper to pass. The division of the students along with their passing criteria will be mentioned in the MBSE HSLC Result 2026 .

Mizoram HSLC Grading System 2026

The table below outlines the grading system prescribed by the Mizoram Board of School Education. Students scoring above 90 marks are awarded an A1 grade, while those who obtain less than 33% receive an F grade and are required to appear for the supplementary examination.

Mizoram HSLC Grace Marks 2026

The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) provides a grace marks facility for students who narrowly miss the minimum passing requirement of 33%.

  • Students who fall short by 1–2 marks in a subject may be awarded up to 2 grace marks per subject.
  • If a candidate fails in only one subject, grace marks of up to 12 may be granted to help them clear the examination.
  • In cases where a student fails in two subjects, and the combined shortfall in marks is 12 or fewer, the grace marks may be distributed between both subjects.

This provision is intended to support students who are close to passing while maintaining the integrity of the evaluation system.
